I played with them off after the first couple but then it just made me feel cheap as I'd just walk around spamming the button until I found something. It didn't make it harder, just a bit more annoying.

The one thing I did that actually did make it a bit more interesting was I started limiting myself to like 20 clicks per crime scene. Made it more strategic when to check if something was useful.

Whatever clues I found after 20 was all I would get. Obviously the rule was only as useful as my will power to enforce it lol

So, you were spamming the crime scene, but the game was too hand-holdy? Okay.

no offense, but what else are you supposed to do?

you wander around clicking on random **** until something turns out to be a clue, theres nothing deeper to it than that. Either its "easy" and the controller vibrates when you pass a clue, or its "hard" and it doesn't. Either way, its still not hard, it doesn't make you have to think, its just a cheap gimmick.

Theres no skill or thought involved... so yeah, the game was too "hand holdy"

I don't want to be told what is and isn't a clue, I want everything to be a potential clue, and its up to me to determine what is and isn't useful. Is that asking too much? Perhaps, but thats what I expect from a detective game. Instead, when I pick up something useless in the game, a voice over says **** like, "well that doesn't look helpful"... gee, thanks game, I sure would have liked to figure that out for myself!

Making me wander around clicking **** until the game tells me what's a clue is not a challenge, its a brainless activity

I didn't go around picking up every item at the crime scene which probably explains why I didn't think the game was holding my hand through out the gameplay. Instead, I decided what looked like relevant and potential clue items. It seemed pointless to me to pick up every apple that was on the ground just because I had the ability to pick it up.
