Looks like they are now trying to bring Star Trek the Next Generation pinball table to the consoles too! Goal now is 110,000 and 15 days left to do it. Anyone who pledges $10 or more gets Twilight Zone and Star Trek TNG free when Farsight releases the tables provided they reach their goal.Comment

Re: the pinball arcade: trying to bring epic table "twilight zone" to digital life
Finally a release date on the first DLC for consoles. For PS3 and Vita anyway - the news on 360 is, well.....not good.
Here's a status update on new tables for our long-suffering console fans!
The first table pack (Medieval Madness and Bride of PinBot) will be released for the PS Vita on June 12th, and for the PlayStation 3 on June 26th.
The second table pack (Cirqus Voltaire and Funhouse) will be released for the PlayStation 3 on June 26th and for the PS Vita on July 3rd.
We have been having difficulty getting Microsoft to approve the new tables for the Xbox 360. The problem centers around a little-known Microsoft limitation of 4 MB on the size of the title update for the game code. We can package the data for each table separately, but the code for the new tables is larger than 4 MB and must be in the update. We have finally convinced them to grant us an exception, so we'll be resubmitting all 4 new tables tomorrow and rolling them out to you just as quickly as we can. We'll announce the date when we know it.
The European versions of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita games will reach the end of their certification cycles this week. We hope to have dates to report to you very soon.
Thanks to everyone for your patience as we work to get these released- we know how frustrating it is to not be able to play these great new tables. We apologize if sometimes it seems we're slow on releasing information, but we don't want to give you a date that turns out later to be wrong. We do read every post, email, and rant.
Thanks again for supporting us!Comment

Re: the pinball arcade: trying to bring epic table "twilight zone" to digital life
Been thinking of picking this up on PS3, Theater of Magic is one of my favorite pinball machines, I can't count the amount of quarters I've poped into that machine when the last remaining local arcade here had it a few years ago. I wonder who owns the rights to all these old Bally/Willams tables since neither company makes games anymore. I'd imagine they reverted to Midway (now owned by Warner Bros Interactive) somehow since they were part of that conglomerate.
Would love to see them bring the Attack from Mars or some classic Willams tables like Rollergames to digital form.Comment

More good news out of the kickstarter project:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ght-zone/posts
Now, let's think about this for a second. A top ten machine that they haven't named yet (they said they aren't naming names)? Well, if you look at ipdb's top 10 solid state games, it looks like this:
Twilight Zone
Medieval Madness
Star Trek: Next Generation
Theatre of Magic
The Addams Family
Circus Voltaire
Monster Bash
Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure
Tales of the Arabian Nights
Funhouse
MM, ToM, and TotAN are already out. Monster Bash, Funhouse, and Circus Voltaire are all out on mobile, and soon to be released on PSN/360. Twilight Zone has been OK'd due to the kickstarter project. Star Trek: TNG was targeted as a kickstarter stretch goal and that may come up short, but regardless of that they did name it, which leads me to believe that's not what they're talking about.
So, what's left? Assuming they're going by ipdb's list, you can't go wrong with either one. Indy would be great. Addams would be heaven.
Farsight is going hard after that top 10 list, for sure.Last edited by bcruise; 06-18-2012, 08:33 PM.Comment

Re: the pinball arcade: trying to bring epic table "twilight zone" to digital life
I want Taxi on the Vita. it's my all time favorite table. Reminds me of the truck stops I frequented when I was a kid running the road with my Dad. They all seemed to have Taxi.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: the pinball arcade: trying to bring epic table "twilight zone" to digital life
So I snagged the 4 DLC tables today, however I keep going back to Theater of Magic, really hoping they bring Attack from Mars and hopefully Addams Family. Kinda funny how tables were branded under the Bally name, since Williams owned them at the time these tables were around in arcades. Never understood why they kept the Bally name around.Comment

Love all the new tables though, and they look really good with the new HDR lighting.Comment

Yeah that table is a blast, it was in the arcade as well. I like the new tables too, Circus Volitaire is pretty neat, so's Medeval Madness, that table seems to have like 20 different multiball modes lol.Comment
