    Re: Watch Dogs

I think the one complaint I have so far is the lack of different clothing. Kinda spoiled by GTA in that regard. I wish there was just more to choose from instead of a different color jacket and hat.

But, that's a pretty minor complaint, and it's always a good sign when I'm sitting at work thinking about going home to play a game, haha!

It's hilarious watching guys trying to hunt you down after being hacked. Seeing them run around like a chicken with its head cutoff is hysterical. Lol

        Re: Watch Dogs

I really enjoyed the profiling aspects of it...I could see myself just wanting to play side missions forever with the creativity they have. I didn't get the latest GTA, but this seems to have a less repetitive variety of side missions, or at least the gameplay for each type can vary enough to be less repetitive. I always ended up finding GTA kinda empty/boring once you get tired of killing random civilians and doing the police chases. They may have improved this in the last one though, so I dunno.

Looking forward to getting my skill tree unlocked more after the next mission. I've unlocked more of the driving ones to help me get away, along with some hacking ones. Really want the slow mo focus.

With killing vs. non killing is there really a big penalty? I love going stealth without having to kill, but I could see using a silenced pistol to aid that a bit...I don't want to go guns blazing, but probably won't be perfect non kill guy.

Oh, I enjoy the story so far. A lot of reviews pan it a bit, but seems like so far it'll be good enough to tie together some great gameplay experiences.

I'd recommend this to anyone on the fence though. It looks Next Gen enough for me, and just feels like a more fresh open world game. Way different vs. GTA or Far Cry 3. Plus the hacking feel just makes it different...not something you normally get in these types of games.

One thing I've noticed is there is some still some bugginess in this game. Ones that affect the completion of missions. Two instances so far:

One mission, I reached the point I was supposed to hack but the hack button wouldn't appear. Had to restart the mission 3 times to get it to appear.

Another was mid mission, where there was a bullet time sequence which I attempted to bypass because it was one of those giant armored dudes, which I wanted no part of. I was then stuck in bullet time for the remainder of that current life. Bad programming there.

Playing on realistic and the driving takes a little getting used to. The side mission where you have too chase down and eliminate a random person took me 5 minutes due to some car control problems on my part.

Everything else seems to be easy to grasp and fun.

It's been fine for me, runs really well. It does occasionally dip in frame rate. The only other technical issue I've had is every once in a great while the shadows will flicker for a moment or two then go back to normal. Other than that it's been flawless.

I came across my first purple 'phone hacked by another fixer' person with my profiler and at first it was purple but when I turned around to chase her and hack in or whatever it was just white and wouldn't let me. Either a bug, poor communication as to why I wasn't allowed to hack, or user error I think.

That link should be in the clear. Only thing that kinda makes me wish I'd gotten the XB1 version is the Youtube integration. Haven't done anything cool enough to bother with dropping something on a USB and taking it upstairs to upload to Youtube.

One small thing I found cool was a corner rap cypher two guys were having. I stood by for a couple minutes listening to the two go back and fourth. One of the guy actually had bars too. It sounded pretty authentic. I thing I came across another cypher with different lyrics, but was too busy doing something else to stop and listen.

Wish PS4 had MP3 support already so we could just listen to that instead of the lame soundtrack, though.

I have to agree with others about the online hacking. I found myself spending more time hacking people than doing anything else. Its so fun to see people running around trying to find you. I DO wish however they made online hacking more worthwhile. Its a BLAST of fun, but I wish you could hack someone and take some of their money... and I wish money played a bigger role in your game on here, but nonetheless its just too damn funny to see people freak out looking for you.

Right now I'm 3-3 on hacks. The three I failed were pretty funny though. One I was trying to be too cool hang on a bench and blend in.. the angle I was at though, I had not realized the dude was right behind me. I swing my camera around and hes got a shotgun pointed at the back of my head.. BOOM! Another failed hack was me in my car racing to get to the guy just so I could be in range to hack.. but if you drive like a mad man, they can see you coming a mile away so here I come doing 100mph down the highway to get to him and he just stands off on the side of the road with his shotgun.. BOOM! headshot, my car does like 4 flips and I die.

You can't hack your friends list. It's a real shame. But if you go to the ubisoft watch dogs forums a pettition has started there. So go sign that (i have) and also ask them on twitter to put it in the game. If enough people do it i think we will see it happen, after all what was it they said about the game "hack your friends"

I haven't actually done any hacking and I haven't been hacked. Picked the game up late last night and only played the for an hour an a half or so.

What is the point of hacking then? I don't really wanna mess around with it and I wish I could turn it off without the penalty of all of notoriety and skills resetting. What happens when someone hacks you?

I figured they took some of your money.
