Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
As a long time Total War veteran I have to say....disastrous launch by CA. Huge issues with the game. I run a very clean system with an Radeon 7870 and i cant even start the game. Very poor effort by CAComment

Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
Are there any changes to the diplomacy system. I know the game is about building up the biggest baddest empire known to man but it irked me that it was impossible to maintain alliances after a certain point in shogun 2.Comment

Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
I have it and it is my all time favorite PC game. People should stop complaining and look at the good parts of the game. For the people with performance issues:
Use most of the settings on low to medium, except for terrain and building detail, unit detail on ultra, shader model 4.1 instead of 5. For me, this makes the game run great and it still looks pretty. I also use it with anti aliasing and vignette on. I have a average PC and it is great running for me.INACTIVEComment

Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
I've played almost all day today and I've had 3 hard locks.
However everything else works fine.
Couple issue the bug me more then the rest
1: Rome could get troops around the empire in weeks, but with the one year turn system it take 3 years for a army to cross Italy. My General will most likely die from age before he reaches the front.
2. Diplomacy is other counties asking me for large sums of gold and some other deal like a trade agreement. They don't offer money ever.Comment

Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
So I'm about 12 hours and 37 turns in with my Sparta campaign. Still haven't experienced a technical issue at all, which is surprising given all the problems I'm seeing. Again, knock on wood. Highly enjoyable for me so far, but certainly the enemy AI can use some work, just like with all Total War games. Excited for the mods to come through for that. Otherwise, no complaints really.Comment

Re: Rumor: Total War: Rome 2
Im glad I am not the only only that thought this:
-The UI is beyond inconvenient. It is a mess of sub menus and obscure iconography. You play the game through a figurative maze, not a streamlined UI for 2013.Comment
