Re: Battlefield 4
Anyone else notice stingers have been nerfed on helicopters since the patch came out? I was piloting a chopper a few times yesterday and noticed that stingers dont hit as often as they used too (they used to hit 100% of the time).
Once my flares have been used up, the targeting noise goes away sometimes. I dont know, maybe its just me. Also, the scout heli repair seems to have been toned down.Comment

Re: Battlefield 4
Wish they at least brought back below radar. You can't fly low otherwise you risk getting taken out by one pesky stinger due to being disabled and most likely crashing. You can't fly high either cause you're not going to kill anything and allow stingers to shoot freely with no obstruction as most maps don't even have any cover besides shanghai and dawn breaker.
I thought it was perfect in the final product of bf3. Removed the gunner flares from the attack chopper and buffed the stingers. One stinger user may hinder the chopper, but not single handedly take him out with ease. If the opposing team really wanted to take out the chopper they would need 2 or 3 stingers.
Not sure how many of you fly choppers, but it's a bit ridiculous that once you get hit with a stinger, you cannot control your chopper. At least in bf3 the fall was controllable so you can position your chopper to land if you were decent at flying. In bf4 the chopper usually just flips upside down. If you manage to land it, they can still lock onto you due to the lack of below radar so you can't even repair it back up. Yeah you can use a flare, but it takes 15-20 seconds for you to get it back and the stinger has already reloaded in 3 seconds. Using an attack chopper is pointless unless it is shanghai or dawnbreaker. Scout choppers are decent with a repair buddy, but without one you have to fly in and get a few shots and hide for the next 30 seconds waiting for flares if you wanted to survive.
Also Rush needs to be balanced a little bit as defenders usually win. I think a big part of that is how quick the defenders vehicles respawn. I think it's most noticeable on lancang dam. You can destroy their tank and lav and try to push up only to realize 5 seconds later those vehicles are back to wreaking havoc.

Re: Battlefield 4
I have no idea if I should buy this game.
I bought 3 and was disappointed, I remember flawless saying he was shocked because the controls went from being tighter to being more like 2.
I had that game as well and it's always been a sticking point is the responsiveness.
I like the concept of BF, but felt like I couldn't get enjoyment when playing for real.
I love to snipe (I know lots of people hate that), so I would want to play as a specialist scout/sniper picking off infantry and finding good spots to blend in, get a great view of the field, do a lot of spotting and line up nice long range shots.
Judgements on my play-style aside ... should I pick it up for the xbone? I think I COULD have enjoyed 3 if the draw distances were a lot bigger and the controls tighter and more responsive.
thoughts?Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
