Again the XP boosts are nice but really what does your level have to do with anything other than a number next to your name.

Idk, there's nothing wrong with DICE doing this, or using the battlepacks, which I will when I play. But I won't sign on ever day just to get them. Just seems like another BS marketing scheme to get people to them less for the debacle that's been BF4.

I do think one a day is a bit excessive, 28 battlepacks lol that is quite a bit. Between those and the one's I earn... I'm going to possibly have every attachment for all weapons unlocked by the end of the month.

There will be nothing more to look forward to (I love that sound btw). I guess just levels?

It should just be one battlepack a week, 4 total for the month. All pistols unlocked as well I read. Seemingly took me forever just to get to the shotty in the pistol slot, now I'm going to have everything? wow

It's free with just a small ad at the top, or you can go premium for just over $2 with no ads and an extra feature or two.
I already have the Battlelog app but I like BF4 Stats on PC so I want this app as well.

I went to the play store and I see a few of them, is it the one by Bjorn CS?

Want to make sure I DL the right one.

EDIT: I was wrong, sorry about that. It was in fact a sniper in bc2. Damn I hardly remember anything about that game other than playing rush on valparaiso.
I thought it was, but it's been a while. What's funny is at the end of the day the gun I was remembering was the VSS. Had so much fun with that gun. Not the most effective but fun as hell to play with.

Valporaiso was an awesome map. Lot's of awesome maps in that game.

That still works. Took me a bit to get it down, but now it's not a problem doing it at all.

What does it mean when you are playing and something in green pops up. Like just now it had a C4 image pop up green on top of the screen.

I believe that's a Field Upgrade. You probably have extra C4 for this round now.

EA Comments on Battlefield 4 Server Issues: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/01/...-server-issues

In the wake of announcing its third quarter 2013 results, EA executives have weighed in on Battlefield 4's stability issues during a Q&A at the end of its earnings conference call.

                      <iframe src="http://widgets.ign.com/video/embed/content.html?url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/01/28/dice-announces-battlefield-4-player-appreciation-month" width="468" height="263" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

When EA executive vice president Patrick Soderlund was asked what happened with Battlefield 4 and what the company learned from it, he explained that while EA and DICE were "convinced [Battlefield 4] was ready," EA was taking "multiple steps" to ensure its post-launch issues never happen again with future products.

"When Battlefield 4 launched, it was a very complex game, launching on two entirely new console platforms, as well as current-gen and PC," said Soderlund. "We were pushing innovation heavily and we're delivering 60 frames per second gameplay for 64 players plus the ability to connect via mobile tablet as a Commander into the product, coupled those with some very innovative features on the gameplay side. Based on our pre-launch testing and beta performance, we were confident the game was ready when it was launched. Shortly after launch, however, we began hearing about problems from our player community, and the development team quickly began to address the situation.

"The challenge that we've faced with Battlefield 4 were different from anything that we've seen before with other games. There were different issues that only manifest its scale in the post-launch live environment. We're taking multiple steps to evaluate what occurred and incorporate those learnings into our development process for future products, so we don't experience the same problems again."

Elsewhere on the call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson expressed sentiments similar to Soderlund's, calling Battlefield 4 a "complex effort" and reiterating that DICE was quick to respond to reports of problems.

"Launching Battlefield was a complex effort, with our teams at DICE delivering a massive game packed with innovative new features for players on next-gen consoles, current-gen consoles and PC," said Wilson. "Shortly after Battlefield 4 went live, we began hearing from some players in the community who were experiencing issues with the game. The Battlefield team acted swiftly to address the issues through game updates, and they continue to make refinements as part of our live service to ensure a great game experience for all Battlefield 4 players. Battlefield 4 is an amazing game in size, scope and gameplay, and we're confident that gamers will be playing for a long time to come."

Since its release in October, Battlefield 4 has suffered ongoing connectivity issues, bugs and crashes, while reports of an investigation and a lawsuit over the game has struck further blows to its reputation. Regardless, developer DICE has been doggedly committed to fixing Battlefield 4, and recently released a patch across all platforms intended to address its major problems. Today, DICE announced Battlefield 4 'Player Appreciation Month,' which offers players free Battlepacks every day in February.

                        Here's some upcoming balance ish

In this post, we’ll talk about the upcoming Battlefield 4 tweaks that we have planned, based on your feedback. These changes are all slotted to go live in a future game update. Stay tuned for more, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

We’re balancing a number of weapons to highlight their intended roles on the Battlefield. Stay tuned for more upcoming tweaks in this blog series.

                        UPCOMING BF4 WEAPON TWEAKS

                        DMRs
                        1) Increased the damage of all DMRs across all ranges. Specifically, damage has been increased at long ranges to allow three-hit kills against unarmored opponents. Additionally, reduced the penalty to accuracy for sustained DMR fire, allowing more rapid follow up shots in combat. The amount of the damage increase varies from weapon to weapon, according to its intended range, rate of fire, and damage. We will continue to monitor the effectiveness of DMRs in combat, and determine if additional action is needed to make DMRs a viable mid to long range weapon.

                        Pump Action Shotguns
                        1) Increased the accuracy of pump action shotguns (870 MCS, HAWK 12g, SPAS-12, and UTS 15) while on the move and aiming. The accuracy has been approximately doubled. These weapons did not have any available barrels or grips that would allow a player to enhance their aimed accuracy. This change should make the use of pump action weapons with slugs much more viable at medium and close range by allowing more accurate fire.

                        Carbines
                        1) Reduced the long range damage of the MTAR to bring it in line with the rest of the Carbines.

                        General
                        1) Adjusted the way inaccuracy is handled when transitioning from Hip fire to Aimed fire. Previously, if a player began firing before aiming, he would keep his hip inaccuracy while aimed, until he stopped firing. This was especially obvious with LMGs on the move. Players will now only be subject to the maximum aimed inaccuracy after the transition. While still terribly inaccurate, this allows for substantially more accurate fire than the old method and should allow players with LMGs to panic fire in close quarters, provided they are aiming.

                        2) The Heavy Barrel’s Accuracy bonus now also applies on the move, at a reduced bonus. This should give the Heavy Barrel a wider role for players who desire accuracy while aimed in all situations.

                        3) Synchronized the timing of the aim down the sights animation of sniper rifles with their ability to fire with full accuracy. Players no longer need to wait for additional time after the aiming animation plays to get accurate shots. There is still a delay to achieve full accuracy, so Quick Scoping is still not possible.

The dmr buff brings it in line with bf3, which was also a 3 shot kill. It wasn't a problem then.

Just realized since it says 3 shots to kill unarmored, that means it was 4 shots for armored. That must have been terrible to need 5 shots on armored targets prepatch.
