Glad to hear I'm not the only one!

Another thing that seemed to help was switching to [single] instead of [auto]. It was much easier dropping an enemy with 4 or 5 well placed controlled shots instead of spraying 10 to 15 shots on auto and only landing 2 or 3. Obviously I'd lose a 1v1 to someone who can control the auto but I'll just have to live with that for now.

You pretty much just have to tap the trigger on auto just like you would using single fire. I don't really see a need to change to single shot besides being a little more accurate. It's much better to slightly hold each time to fire off 3-5 bullets at a time.

I never go full auto unless they're within 10 meters

in the upper lefthand corner on ps4, i believe it is the battlelog symbols, when the friends portrait is lit i know what that means, but what does it mean when the circle is lit or the round internet looking thing?

Reading this thread makes me realize I'm completely clueless with how to properly play this game.

Don't worry...I play it more or less properly but it doesn't help, haha.

However, I am still having a great time of it. I was telling Bolt the other night that even after 130+ hours of BF3 over two systems and now the hours I've put into BF4, I will never have Bolt's (or most of your guy's) skill.

I have fun via the comraderie in the party, shared traumatic experiences (lol), and I contribute by spotting when I can.

Also by chasing OS'ers around and throwing ammo boxes at them and blowing up armored vehicles.

I can be decent in a tank as a driver or a gunner, I can lay down fire on MCOMs in Rush mode, capping flags (Leeeeeroy), providing a spawn point, and just trying to be a wingman to good players without being too much of a liability.

To be truthful, I'm grateful to you guys for your patience with me

When you get the xp boost and such in a battle pack do you have to activate that or does it just work automatically? And I got 100% 25% do they combine to get 125%

You have to activate it from the pause menu in a round, and it lasts for an hour of game time. They don't add to each other, but you can use them on xp boost weekends to add to the xp boost accordingly.

I'm pretty sure that's right.

For some reason I'm not getting the Appreciation Month Battlepacks. I got one the first day and that was it.

Tried to play a couple of matches today on the PS4 but the game crashed back to the xmb with the blue error message screen. Has this been happening to anyone else today. I know the PSN has been acting up today so could be related to this. Hopefully the latest firmware isn't causing issues.
