    Agreed.

In the few months I played it I struggled mightly (aside from 1 week where I was in heaven, specially getting many objectives coupled with some kills too) and even more ... I discovered that I had brought some bad habbits from COD (you inadvertedly develope some if you are a franchise long timer, since MW1), you will notice them once vets reduce the invites (most just do that instead of giving constant advice, hehe, thus not all) and you start evaluating your way of playing vs theirs.

Given that I lend the game to a friend and that my PS3 got damaged for good, I couldnt play enough after realizing that I had to change. I plan on trying to do that from the start, so I can mesh well and contribute to whatever squad I am with.

One thing I expected that didnt met my expectation was the use of the mic, I thought it would be used more as a mean to improve team play, but it wasnt ... at least not as much as I expected. That I used the TV to hear people talk instead of the mic, might have something to do, as well as me not having english as native language ... but still expectations were not met, many seem not to use it at all ... maybe this will change with commander mode been back.

Hopefully you will experience the freshness of the game and the distinct feel opposed to COD. As I did, you would probably love to be able to use vehicules, the "total" detruction, the grand scheme of things and the newly increased amount of players per match.

BF4 on PS4 cant come soon enough !

That's good. I didn't know that bit of info. I wasn't a huge fan of the counter knife either but if it only works this way I can see its advantages. Nothing makes me scratch my head more when I am shooting at a person point blank and they bunny hop around my fire to get a miracle knife kill on me.

I said I'd never buy another EA game, but they are really testing my resolve with BF4

Anyone know if they'll have custom servers like in BF3?

It made a lot of money for them with Battlefield 3.

I doubt we see it on launch, but it will probably be patched in down the road again.

Custom servers was 1 of the reasons why I stopped playing BF3. Matches were too long, and teams were always unbalanced because of that.

Hopefully they'll add some restrictions if/when they do patch them into BF4.

or....we make an official OS server and heavily moderate it.

                    Re: Battlefield 4

We had at least three servers at different times on BF3. The server controls on the PS3 were so clumsy though.

Most of the time we couldn't keep them populated. The moment OS joined, randoms left. After a while my server became a practice server. JNES probably had the most popular server out of the three that I could remember.

This does not worry me as I am just glad we are finally getting 64 players on the consoles. Most people will not experience the game looking as good as it has at E3 or Gamescom as it is running on some top of the line PCs. I expect graphically that it will not look as good as PC, but I expect it to look better than BF3 currently does on the console, and I am fine with this.

Me either. PC will always be the best looking.
Just thought it was an interesting read.

Yeah I don't understand these comparisons people keep making. A $400 console will not look as good as ever-changing PC tech that costs anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 and beyond. Did people really think these consoles would be PC-equivalent?

Now I don't know how much the hardware actually costs, but it is possible Sony/MS are taking a hit on their consoles at their current price as they did last gen. I would be more interested in knowing if the consoles perform better than or similar to an equivalent priced PC.

No big deal to me. I never expected BF4 to look as good on PS4 as it does on PC. Things like 64 players are what excite me. Graphics will be fine.
