Re: Battlefield 4
Ugh, started having some crappy big rubberbanding issues. Multiple servers as well, guess I gotta take a break for a few and hope I can try again in 15-20 minutes and find a decent server.
Yeah, the PC game is gorgeous. This was a purchase on a whim for me. Got it on the cheap right before it launched as I wasn't planning on purchasing it.badComment

Re: Battlefield 4
Look forward to checking out your stream later when it's back up.
I'm sure your PC stream will put my console stream from last night to shame.Comment

Those interested (rumor)
I don't know if confirmed but I got a buddy that works at GameStop and he said that BF4 on PS4 will be 29.99 on Black Friday as well. I know some were curious.Comment

Re: Battlefield 4
You might still be able to get one if you're willing to get in midnight or early morning lines. I think most (if not all) retailers are receiving consoles above the preorder counts, so you have many different places to try especially in and around the city.Comment

Re: Battlefield 4
I must say the single player campaign is buggy as hell and heavily scripted.
1. Hit detection is pretty bad at times. Sometimes you can be 5 feet away and shoot the guy 12 times and nothing registers. Hell his body don't even flinch.
2. I have had 2 hard freezes so far that caused me to restart my console.
3. Your squad AI is hit and miss. For some reason they like to ignore people 2 feet away from them.
4. Graphically this game is a step backwards from BF3. It is VERY HARD to see the enemy or people period from a distance. I swear if they aren't shooting at you, you would never know they were there. Kind of like the game is purposely discouraging distance kills and want all kills close range.
Over all, so far, this game feels like it was made by Michael Bay. Way too many close range gun battles that last too long for no apparent reason. Lots of explosions....every where. Seriously they over dosed on explosions. Action sequences are heavily scripted. That is my main gripe right there with the game.
Don't matter what you do, the game forces every enemy engagement to last a good 10 minutes or more. Stealth kills are discouraged as well. You will be lucky to get 1 or 2 per a mission before their heavily scripted massive gun battle starts.
One mission I booby trapped the ENTIRE AREA. Well over 20 mines were placed. I thought this will going to be good, I laid them all out stealthy, guess what ? Nothing exploded. I watched as tank after tank, solider after solider walked on and drove on the mines I placed. I yelled WTF ?
And why ? Because the game don't want you to do anything stealthy. Instead they want every mission to be a massive gun battle. It wasn't until 10 minutes or so into this gun battle did the mines actually work when somebody went over them. Scripted......
Voice acting for the enemy is pretty bad as well. They just blurt stuff out, not even saying full words or sentences.
How I am feeling right now, I will give this game a 3 out of 10 far as single player goes. It is as though Dice didn't even try this year. Instead they just said **** it, give them a hell of a lot explosions and long gun battles every mission, they will love it, make them feel like Rambo and The Terminator rolled into one.Comment
