You can't have a female character in games. It has to be a male character, simple as that,'” Morris told the Report.

I guess this explains lack of minority male characters starring in action/adventure games also, especially AAA games.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case. This is why I play RPG games mostly when it comes to my single player experience. I want to customize the main character to whatever I want.

Its not like this is only present in video games, though.

            First review is an 18/20:

French publication Jeux Video Magazine has published the first review for Capcom’s upcoming new IP, Remember Me. Scoring the game an 18/20 the magazine describes the game having an, “original story, sublime universe and an unforgettable heroine.”

Damn, I didn't think it was releasing this soon. I'll pick it up, but hoping I can wait til it hits $40 or so. I like Capcom has been doing lately.

                Oh right.

PC version is 25% off on greenman with GMG25-PLPFE-BCSAS.
I bought it eariler in the week with the 20% off code which made it exactly $40. Only $2.50 difference I guess.

That sale is good enough for me. Saves the dilema of wait for a sale or try to show support for something new/intresting that was turned away by other publishers.

                    Second review is an 8:

PSM3 magazine praised the game by saying “Elaborately created Action Sci Fi that feels more like visiting a cinema than a video game”.

Only 4 of those memory things? Wow I thought that was the whole point of the game.
Also about their combo complaint that's why they always just stand around in AC and the Batman games...which everyone also complained about.

                              A yes from Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/remember-me-the-ko...view-510988329

So, yes: parts of Remember Me feel like cool ideas in search of better gameplay execution. And its writing can come across as flowery, high-minded and overly earnest. But I couldn't stop thinking about how Sensen is one of those fictional technologies that you'd both love and hate if it actually existed. Moreover, I gasped at some of the things they game had me do as Nilin. And Neo-Paris' wretched social divide made my skin crawl. People who play Remember Me won't be talking about what badasses they felt like during their time with it. But they will wonder what they'd do inside the game's fictional construct.

Yikes! PC version fail. If you have an ATI card it'll crash after the intro screen. You have to go download Physx from Nvidia before it'll work. Also most of the options are only low or high which is rather odd. No medium,no very high...just low and high.

Combat is more like a rhythm game than Batman feels like it might get stale. World is pretty great so far and it does feel more like a movie than a game.

Here's a couple of PC shots:
