    Until Dawn (PS4)

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rOiSosEiNyE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So, what did you think? We’ve been working on this game for a while now, working with Hollywood writers and US TV talent, doing our best to bring the a new horror experience to the PlayStation Move. Inspired by classic movies like Friday the 13th, Halloween, and SCREAM, we expect that Until Dawn will draw you in with its characters, chilling setting and shocking, twisted story.

On the anniversary of their friends’ disappearance, a group of classmates visit the site of the mystery to bury their ghosts and get some closure. Little do they know, they’ll end up burying each other instead…

Just like in classic horror films it’s isolated, the power’s out and the phones don’t work! You’ll play through the story as multiple characters, sometimes with a friend and sometimes on your own to discover who it is that’s intent on killing off you and your friends. It’s up to you how you play, so we don’t know how your story will go or who’ll be there with you at the end.

Until Dawn for PS3Until Dawn for PS3

To play the game you’ll use the PS Move controller in a totally natural way. It’ll act as your flashlight, guiding your way through the darkness, or when you want to use something the controller will intuitively map your actions in the real world to those of your character’s hand in the game world.

We really hope you’re as psyched about Until Dawn as we are, coming next year exclusively to PlayStation 3. Get ready to be scared.
This looks totally cool and can't wait to see more of it.

Game is on sale for pre-order through Amazon.com at $39.99. Now the game is slated to release at the end of the year, but if you are at least thinking about buying the game, you can lock in the $40 dollar price by pre-ordering.

I am intrigued by this game. Still waiting on them to provide more information.

<b><big>Teen-style horror game Until Dawn not canceled, but delayed </b></big>

"Until Dawn is most definitely not cancelled and we are still developing it," managing director Pete Samuels said. "Not only that, but we're really excited about what we're creating and can't wait to tell more and show more sometime soon. I understand that the silence has been frustrating for those people who have been looking out for more details."
Supermassive Games confirms that reports of game's cancellation are false, though the project won't ship this year.

The old trailer looked very interesting, looked like an old school slasher flick. Awesome.

This new one, not so much, looked like a cheap Saw ripoff. Graphically the game looked better, especially the character models, but the plot seems completely different.

Ok. So when a game is for the Playstation Move, does that mean I need to own the Move to play it?

I um, don't have one. But wanna play this when it comes out...

This is one of the games rumored to be available to play during Gamescom in 2 weeks. Not only for the PS3 but should be playable for the PS4 as well. Game is under the radar for me but definitely keeping an eye out for this horror as a possible buy. Hoping to see/hear more.

They flashed the saw like scene in the old trailer where as in the new one they just focused on that particular scene. I still think it will be a teen slasher like game.

I really hope it develops into that type of game. We need a true slasher survival horror title!

Any release dates for this one yet? I don't remember ever playing a really good slasher type game since Friday the 13th on original NES, that game with it's terrible graphics still managed to give me nightmares. I was only 10 at the time so that probably had something to do with it lol.

Last I heard, TBD or sometime in 2015. Here's their trailer from Gamescom.

We re-designed, re-built and re-wrote the game so now you have a more mature, darker and fundamentally more terrifying experience on PS4.

Hello from Supermassive Games, and -- particularly -- the Until Dawn team! It’s been a while since we talked about Until Dawn, but we’re now thrilled to reveal the latest on the game… and it’s now for PS4. So lock your doors, turn off the lights and let’s explore some of the realistically gruesome details…

Thanks! thought this would make an excellent halloween launch title but hadn't heard anything which surprised me.

The Evil Within it is then for my Halloween horror fix.

As you may know by now, Until Dawn sees a group of eight friends on their annual mountain getaway which turns into a night of sheer terror. However, before things go awry you’ll get to know the characters and understand the complex relationships in their social circle.

When you start the game you will meet the characters as they couple off around the house (by choice or circumstance) before their holiday turns into an all-out fight for survival. If you’ve watched previous trailers and demos you’re already familiar with Ashley and Chris and their ‘will-they won’t-they’ friendship. One of our favourite things about this dynamic is that their relationship is not pre-defined at the beginning of the game; your choices will decide if the relationship either blossoms or wilts before the night is out. That is, if they survive.

Choice is a central tenet of Until Dawn. Your actions not only determine who lives or dies, but will also directly influence the relationships between the characters (romantic or otherwise). You will even influence how characters react to each other. If you are mean to a friend, they may or may not choose to save you later in the game. The narrative will always continue forward, adapting to your decisions throughout the game – meaning that your game will be noticeably different from anyone else’s.

Whether you choose to play cupid or become a heartbreaker in Until Dawn is up to you. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this special Valentine’s Day trailer!

Actress Hayden Panettiere is in this? Didn't know that.

Graphically, Until Dawn is one of the most impressive games to date. The Killzone Shadow Fall Engine makes characters and lighting look insanely realistic. Along with the extremely detailed motion capture depicting quality performances, at times it was difficult to believe that what I was watching was in-engine as opposed to a prerendered cutscene. Graphical fidelity accents the gruesome nature of Supermassive’s story.

Until Dawn has a rumored release date of June 24, 2015, which, if true, we should expect to hear officially from Sony by the end of E3.
