    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

After playing the For Honor alpha I must say the 4v4 dominion mode had a far greater epic feel than any battle I had in DAI. I enjoyed the dungeon crawl type of combat in DAI but it always felt confined to a small area where everyone was almost fighting on top of each other. Other than dragon fights they were over quickly and the environment didn't matter. In For Honor the battles are longer, spread out and do use the environment (can knock people off ledges, have to climb ladders, etc).

I'd like a setting where my teammates actually use their spells too without having me do everything. Just worrying about me rather than micro managing my party members to succeed in combat would be nice. Just give us that option.

For those that are interested it looks like all of the DLC packs for this game are on sale on PSN this week.

Some hints that DA 4 is on the horizon. Nothing really new hear although speculation that it could release in early 2017 is crazy. No way it releases that soon with no info out by now. Plus Mass Effect Andromeda will be releasing then. I'm guessing 2018.

Game developer BioWare remains tight-lipped about the fourth full-length installment of the high-fantasy role-playing game "Dragon Age." However, new speculations reveal that a new title is likely to happen.

I'm thinking more like 2019. They spent about 2 1/2 years writing the story line for Dragon Age Inquisition. Another 2 making the game. So I doubt it. Plus they don't want to steal the thunder from Mass Effect.......they would be crazy to release both close together like that.

DA 4 is heading into full hiring mode. I was hoping it would be in full gaming mode already so this means a 2020 release more likely. I wonder if that would be current gen and a new next gen.

            Three biggest wishes:
            1) More defensive moves and strategies so combat is less button mashing
            2) Aiming reticule for ranged fighters (archers/mages)
            3) Allowing friends to play in your campaign with you

Finally decided to make a commitment to finishing this game. I played for a while but then traded it in because it was just overwhelming trying to keep up with it (and sports games and other RPGs and kids and life...). Then grabbed the Deluxe Edition when it was ridiculously cheap a while back.

Anyway, I'm finally at Skyhold and have done a few quests from there. Does it make sense to just work my way up in terms of recommended level for different areas? Or does that not really make a ton of difference? I like the idea of going different places rather than clearing a single area all at once but I know that sometimes that can mess with the flow of the story...is that the case with DA:I?

It doesn't affect the story since you choose to advance the story with the main missions which require power at the War table. Most worlds just have rifts and other quests to do which can be interesting and let you level up but don't spoil anything. Just do whatever you want. Clear out sections or check out other areas. Some areas ARE harder with harder enemies. As long as you aren't getting your butt kicked you will be fine. But no worries over the main story.
