Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I have no motivation to beat this game. Seems like a poor Arkham City rehash

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
DC's All-Access video diary shared the release date of the story DLC for Arkham Origins. It's due to release 22-April. Also mentioned Batman would have a few new toys/gadgets and a new suit to combat the cold weapons Freeze will be using.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

A month in. Wow.
This certain glitch is PISSING ME OFF TO NO END. The data handler on the bridge is gone, and I can't 100% the Riddler until I interrogate him and gather the data packs in the area.Boston Red Sox

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
Played this at launch and was not real happy with it. The glitches killed me a couple of times so I just took it back.
Now it is on sale for $8.40 on PS3 store and I was wondering if things were patched and improved. Because I will play just about anything for $8 and enjoy the hell out of it...In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I was wondering the same thing but it seems that given the low price point of the previous 2 titles with all content included (goty editions) I would wait until the goty edition with all dlc dropped to about $10 or $15 a year from now.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I really like the premise and the whole Christmas Eve/winter storm setting creates a cool atmosphere. If only the circus were in town so I could strap a bomb onto a fat carnie's stomach.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I started the game up this weekend after passing on it on release and the poorer reception kept me away. I have to say, however, that just starting out this game is more engrossing than Arkham City.

I faced the odd bug/glitch every now and then but it was nothing too extreme. The only other problem I had was how they really tried to overdo the enemies you encountered. There's countless times where you'll run into a group that includes a couple guys with riot shields, a ninja, a brute, some thugs with guns and a few unarmed ones as well.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
Ha, yeah. The increase in difficulty is refreshing considering Bats is just starting out. It really gives you a nice feel for the character who has not truly honed his skills and keeps you from feeling overtly masterful and powerful like AA and AC did.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I've played through the Penguin meeting:
SpoilerI feel like the interior level design so far has been awesome. Very atmosphere driven and it felt more like Penguins' lair than even the Iceberg Lounge did in Arkham City.
And then the confrontation with Deathstroke. Damn. It was one of the best moments of all three games honestly.
I like the set-up for this game a lot more than Arkham City, but Gotham feels dark compared to Arkham City. I jumped back into Arkham City to finish clearing the map of Riddler trophies and I immediately noticed how much lighter the area is - full of neon and street lighting. Gotham feels more deserted than AC does. The lack of civilians isn't an issue with me with the "impending Winter storm", but its a larger map and not as densely populated by buildings and roaming thugs.
Also, the combat is not nearly as smooth as AC. AC's is like melted butter. Origins is kind of herky-jerky at times, but the diversity of the thug encounters is a lot better and more difficult.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
I started playing this game this weekend. I got it for Christmas two years ago and never even opened it because the PS4 was new and didn't want to go back, plus I'm not the hugest fan of the Batman games. The original was good, but AC just didn't do it for me, not sure why because it was a good game. Anyway, I've played through the Penguin encounter too plus the Anarky side quest and the game is pretty good. Glitches are there for sure and my biggest issue is having to restart from time to time because the framerate gets so unbearable. It seems to get back whenever I use my sonic batarang which is weird. Definitely not as polished as the first two Batman games but this one is fun as well.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins
So I started this up (again) after I 100% Arkham Knight's campaign. So far I've had my confrontation with The Joker and broke into GCPD.
So far I think the story/set-up is much more compelling than the rest of the series and so far the level design for each interior location has been fantastic. AK overall felt really bland to me gameplay wise as nothing really ever changed up, but AO follows along nicely with the rest of the series and paces the gameplay well.
