Yeah, The shotgun is where it's at... Unfortunately, I have to go find mine now.. Damn it! I hate dying in this game!

Speaking of weapons, are you guys using the crossbow at all? It seems a little too weak to be useful at first, but maybe if I upgrade it I can start getting some one shot head shots with it.

Changed my strategy a bit. I've slowed way down and decided (yeah I should have done this earlier) that retreating is a good idea from time to time. Baiting individual walkers into a secluded area etc...

And if I kill myself 1 more time by attacking a walker with the gas can attached to them I'm going to scream lol

Side note... I HATE the Nursery...

Also thank God for dead friends showing up in game. Was in a bad spot but then seen a friend zombie. Killed him and got tons of stuff

It feels like the game throws more of them at you when you're first starting out, maybe in an effort to make sure you have stuff.

I am all about the "take one step, radar, find a zombie, flick the flashlight to get his attention, then run to a hallway and wait" strategy.

Anyone else randomly spraypainting symbols on walls?
Every once and a while I will paint a happy face.

Also don't forget like I did, to ise the table in safehouse to upgrade weapons. By the time I remembered it I had a stash of upgrade parts lol

I just bought the game, plugged it in, and had a blast. I died twice, so other than the parts where I can just run away from Zombies, I seem to struggle. Any suggestions?

Slow and steady. If you have any type of FPS mindset.. get rid of it.
Scan every area and always try to have an escape plan. If I see more than 1 zombie I see if there's a way to lure just one out and attack it that way.
Also watch your light. That will give you away in a heartbeat.

Do whatever you can to fight one with the cricket bat by yourself. Flick lights at them, step toward one then take off running, etc.

Try to get them to climb over stuff, if they fall you can hit them once and then finish them.

Most of all, guns are last resort. If you can't kill it with the bat, figure out how you can.

I had a cheap death before, I snuck up on an armored zombie and just started wailing on it. When the helmet came off it kinda teleported through the floor and came up to my side, bit me and that was it.

The acid ones suck though.

Just got to the basement area. I still only have a pistol and my bat, so that kind of sucks. Any ideas as to where I can find a new weapon? I had the carbine and then died. Also, any way to upgrade my pistol into being useful?

You will find upgrade when going through the game. You then use the upgrade table in the safehouse to upgrade stuff.
Scan everywhere to find the stuff!
You will just randomly find weapons. That's what I like about the game the most. They dont just hand you tons of stuff to make the game a shootout.

When you do find stuff you are very happy! Lol.

Had a few minutes to play the MP with my son and absolutely had a blast. The whole family is Walking Dead fans, so my son and I really enjoyed the little time we had. Can't wait to get into the single player tonight.

I've heard the MP is a ton of fun. I really wish Nintendo would have added a matchmaking function to the game.

After dying a few times I'm starting to close every door and watch every corner. Every zombie I see is a serious threat. One of my attempts lasted for about an hour of gameplay and at the end of a mission I got chased down by a hoard. I completely paniced trying to get back to the safe house and they tore me apart. When I went back to get my stuff I was overwhelmed again. The finality of losing your loot is very powerful and it's refreshing to feel so upset in a game.

Any combat tips for newbies?
