After dying a few times I'm starting to close every door and watch every corner. Every zombie I see is a serious threat. One of my attempts lasted for about an hour of gameplay and at the end of a mission I got chased down by a hoard. I completely paniced trying to get back to the safe house and they tore me apart. When I went back to get my stuff I was overwhelmed again. The finality of losing your loot is very powerful and it's refreshing to feel so upset in a game.

Any combat tips for newbies?

It's been said before, but really do your best to isolate them. Pull one out, bash its head in, then move forward. If they are coming at you in a group and there is nothing you can do about it, lure them into a tight hallway or alley, and hope that slows them down. Things like Mines, Molotavs, Grenades due the trick to take a bunch of them down.

Another trick I noticed is how stupid the zombies are. If you are trying to make a break for it, run right by things of fire and just wait behind it. They'll run right through it to get to you haha. Hope this helps!

One of the best weapons turns out to be anything that the zombies have to crawl under. All you have to do is wait till they come through the other side and bash their heads in.

After 5 hours of gameplay-
I can't believe this game got such low ratings. The gameinformer reviewer said it had bad controls, graphics, and lighting. They also said that you didn't indentify with the characters. I disagree with everything he said in his review.

I would like to see more levels in the daylight and I would like to see more hand to hand weapons but this game is an 8.5 or 9 for me. No first person game (that I can think of) makes you feel like to have more to lose than Zombie U.

Was interested too but it's digital only and while it's not confirmed, it's expected to be a full priced digital release which would be $60. If that turns out to be confirmed, hell no.

Oh, i completely agree there....I'd just wait for a massive price drop. It sounds cool, but not that cool. I'd rather buy Dying Light on sale instead and get a better zombie game lol

Agreed and yeah, Dying Light is definitely better and it's open world.

I actually really enjoyed my playthrough of this on the wii u.

I remember thinking to myself, "this new wii has some potential"!

Lol.. Not the case, but a solid game. A somewhat linear experience, but it is very well done for what it is.

I thought the pacing was very good for a zombie survival game, and the weight of the combat/controls struck a nice balance in the game play .

Dying light is easily the better game, but I don't know if it even makes much sense to compare the two..

Anyways, from what I still remember it was a fun 6 or 7 hour zombie thriller. A little campy at times, but I look forward to giving it a spin sometime in the future.

Free for Playstation Plus members - just downloaded it and hope to get to it at some point.

This game looks decent and got pretty good ratings overall, so it's worth the linear experience....especially since it was #FREE.

DL'd it this weekend and played for about an hour. Really enjoyed my time with the game.
Got killed attracting a horde with my gun. Stupid.

It's definitely a very tense experience.
