My close second would be I Am Alive. Was so stoked when I first saw the trailer, first it didn't even get a real release they put it on psn, second it was buggy, and third it was so watered down from what it was promised to be. Such a shame, had so much potential.

Max Payne 3 without a doubt. Being such a huge fan of the original and the mental battles along with the job he was trying to get done. Battling with his psychy as he slowly started to lose grip with reality. The first 2 games were so raw. In Max Payne 3 they made it a typical 3rd person shooter. It was bland, lacked the inner struggle that the first 2 games made so intertwined with the story. Not to mention that they changed the gameplay so much. First game of the series I traded back on after beating it.

Same here Dan. I am trading in my PS3 version ASAP. I can't stomach this game. Back to Madden 10 and NFL 2K5 for my NFL fix. Really sad indeed. The AI has just killed it for me. If the game had M12's AI....I truly would be singing a different tune.
I don't get it. Madden 12 had the best CPU AI ever in a Madden game and it went straight out the window for 13. Teams played pretty close to their true life counterparts, playcalling was pretty sound.
Wow such a let down with M13.Last edited by Armor and Sword; 11-28-2012, 07:33 PM.Now Playing on PS5:

It's got to be Madden for me too. I certainly don't hate the game, it just didn't live up to what I thought it would be. Especially since we have waited all these years for RTP and that was what we got. Couple that with the fact the A.I. wasn't very good, bugs galore (injuries being wiped, can't change scheme, etc.) and losing past features, then the game just fell flat for me. I do appreciate that they tried something new though.

Diablo 3 and kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning. My most anticipated game of 2012 Diablo 3 just didn't live up to the hype, it was fun for a playthrough on normal, but the replay value was squashed when finding loot became a chore as you had to pretty much buy it off the auction house. Kingdoms of Amalur had so much potential, for the first time there was an RPG that had great gameplay......and then there was the option for no tougher difficulty, predictable A.I., and the cheesy storyline.
Sleeping Dogs was the game for me that didn't disappoint in 2012, haven't played it in a while, but the game was a breath of fresh air for the open world action genre.
It's gotten great reviews from a lot of outlets.
I'm not that into D&D type games, but I like open-ended games so I was thinking of picking this up when it dropped even further in price.
I think my biggest disappointment has been NHL13. I was really hoping for more player separation from the CPU but it's more of the same.Comment

Don't get the difference. I have both Vita and 360 version and 360 version is clearly the better game. No love for CC?Comment

I like that EA tried something new with CCM, but just too many issues that weighed the game down for me.Currently Playing:

Re: Biggest Disappointing Game(s) of the Year.
- Diablo 3. Absolute train-wreck by money grubbing developers that killed the spirit of the series.
- Guild Wars 2. Was a blast for the first 80 levels. Creating a new character with nothing to do at level cap (in under a week mind you) was boring. Killing the trinity off did nothing for the genre.
- SWTOR. Well, it's a WoW in space clone. Except less polished than WoW. May be better since FTP, but meh.badComment
