Re: Destiny
Yeah, this campaign is so bad it almost hurts and I'm not even near the end boss. I have zero invested into this story. I finish a mission, hear Ghost say "Great job, you got him" and then can't believe that Bungie actually created this story. No explanations for anything. No character development. Repetitive missions. Lazy story telling at best and DLC setup story telling at worst.
They created all of these planets, but yet only small parts of the planets are actually playable. Revisiting missions is like literally playing the same mission over again as nothing is random at all. I really have no interest in replaying the same exact mission over and over again to find loot that is completely random. Why does it make sense that you have the same exact chance of getting better loot farming or patrolling than finishing a hard strike or boss? It doesn't make sense. Why should I waste my time doing any strikes? I've gotten absolutely nothing from strikes.
PvP just isn't doing it for me either. I want a better multiple experience. I don't want to be consistently killed by one hit shotguns. It's crazy to me that there are so many poor game play design choices in this game, a game that cost over $500m to make.
Easily the biggest disappointment of this generation for me.Last edited by sbauer318; 09-22-2014, 03:34 PM.Comment

Re: Destiny
The campaign for this game is one of the laziest things I've seen in games. Little to no effort at all in their writing. Just go here and kill **** in a different place.
I haven't finished it but I really want to care and learn about the lore but it does nothing about itSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Destiny
As far as joining a different faction,do you still need to play the crucible to get the marks to purchase their gear?
The reason I ask is because I absolutely cannot stand the PVP aspect in the game (yes I tried it in the beta and just didn't like it) and refuse to play it,so I was wondering if you can get the marks by doing the same thing as you would for the Vanguard.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Destiny
Yeah, have to grind crucible to get those crucible marks to purchase the gear. Plus, you have to have the proper rank to get gear from the factions. As far as joining a different faction,do you still need to play the crucible to get the marks to purchase their gear?

Re: Destiny
I can easily understand the frustration,as it's starting to become a chore to continue to do the same thing over and over again with terrible rewards.
But...from my understanding, the 500 million wasn't just for this one game,it also includes the advertising as well as future games and what-not.
What pisses me off the most,is finally getting that legendary engram, only to go to the decrypter, and it turns out to be a blue...frustrating beyond belief.Responding to a question from a fan, Bungie’s Eric Osborne repeated the developer’s Chief Operating Officer Pete Parsons’ explanation: “For marketing you'd have to ask Activision people, but for development costs, not anything close to $500 million,” Parsons told GameIndustry International in an interview. “I think that speaks a lot more to the long-term investment that we're making in the future of the product.”
I mean,it's hard enough to GET that legendary engram....but to then have it turn into a blue?...yea.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment
