Re: Destiny
Decided to use all my ascendent shards to level up my regular legendary gear to hit 29, I wanted just one piece of raid armor. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few checkpoints done in the Raid on hard tonight. Don't think I'll be able to get it all done but if I can just get a head start on next week I'll be happy.

Re: Destiny
I don't think it's a bad idea at all. You'll get plenty more shards down the line should raid armor drop for you. Plus at 29 you'll take less dmg & dole more dmg, win win.Decided to use all my ascendent shards to level up my regular legendary gear to hit 29, I wanted just one piece of raid armor. Re: Destiny
How many checkpoints are there in the raid and roughly how long does it take to complete each one? There's no possibility of me being able to sit long enough to make it in one shot during the work week.Decided to use all my ascendent shards to level up my regular legendary gear to hit 29, I wanted just one piece of raid armor. Re: Destiny
I think there are 5, with approximate times between (though times can go way longer if you keep failing)
At confluxes 5-10 mins
At oracles ~15 mins
At templar~20 mins
At gatekeepers ~30 mins
At atheon ~30 mins
Atheon fight takes another about 30 mins, giving you an average time of a bit over 2 hours, but with a good team you can do the whole thing in under an hour, or a bad/inexperienced team can take over 10.Comment

The Beginning
Templar's Well + 3x phases of the Templar encounter.
Gorgon's Labyrinth
Vault of Glass (jumping puzzle)
Awaken the Glass Throne (Gatekeeper)
Destroy Atheon (final boss)
I'd say a real experienced team should be able to clear VoG within 45-70 minutes with zero to minimal wipes.
I honestly feel for everyone new to VoG you have to add about an hour to completion for a full run through.
I'd honestly suggest that you all that have yet to do a full run find some time to attempt one today while the mechanics can still be taught in a controlled environment.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

Re: Destiny
I personally love it, I have it fully upgraded and it is my go to primary. Wait until you have a nightfall with Void damage and it will really shine.

Re: Destiny
Tried the nightfall myself (27) for the first time. Was doing fine until the stupid Walker's blue **** managed to sneak by my cover and kill me instantly. Took me ~45 minutes just to get there so I guess I won't be trying that again until I'm at least 28 or have some help.Comment

Re: Destiny
I'm thinking as part of my stream for Extra-Life 2014 this weekend I'd like to get a Raid Group going.
Went through it on Saturday and didn't get much besides the Shader and ascendant materials.Comment
