Even better, the PlayStation versions of Destiny will feature exclusive in-game content, only available on PlayStation.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

A big universe, big online features, tons of co-op, custom characters with progression, and all created by Bungie? Count me in. Hell this is another game that is going to have me run out and buy a next gen console.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Well even with the exclusive content I will prob still get it for 720 if I choose it over PS4. I was hoping for a better controller design for PS4 but it basically looks the same. Let's hope the 720 doesn't change theirs to much. I will own both but still deciding which one at launch. Price, controllers and games will be the deciding factor.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Destiny
Looks terrific!
You folks think I'll need like a 50Mb connection to run this baby?
I mean given all the "planets", next gen data and what not, they better have
dedicated servers.
Or am I just getting paranoid with bandwidth again?Last edited by ps3veron; 02-22-2013, 07:10 AM.Comment

Re: Destiny
paranoid ... You won't be streaming all that. I suspect that the worlds will be on the disc or downloaded as DLC. Then the movements and other things will be streamed. All the images will already be there. You walk from A to B will be sent to the server and other people will get the move image 100 from A to B.
It will work just like every other MMO games work now.
Now depending on how many users they let you interact with at once, that could start to stress peoples connection.Comment

This is very interesting, does this mean they won't be developing the debut of Destiny for the Xbox720? Plus exclusive content for PlayStation owners, seems like they are less fund of Xbox or Microsoft for some reason, wonder what it is? I wonder if Microsoft pissed them off in some way.Comment

Re: Destiny
Destiny is still suppose to come to all the systems however Sony gets exclusive content. In my head I believe Sony pursued them and it was mainly Activision and Sony talking than Bungie. Once the deal was done Bungie had no choice but to go with it.This is very interesting, does this mean they won't be developing the debut of Destiny for the Xbox720? I remember Bungie when they left Halo behind was really excited about doing a multi platform and seemed like they didnt want any one system to have a advantage in the beginning, thats why I believe it was more Activisions doing with the exclusive deal.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Destiny
I highly doubt Activision was talking to Sony on the side and Bungie had no choice but to accept the deal. Money talks, I am sure Sony spent a lot of money to get exclusive content and Activision and Bungie decided it was a good idea.Destiny is still suppose to come to all the systems however Sony gets exclusive content. Re: Destiny
Could end up just making more exclusive content for both consoles. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that there is PS4 exclusive content as well as some xbox exclusive content.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Re: Destiny
They kinda had me when they didn't mention zombies.
One thing I see in all of this is how calculated this game is. I watched the announcement video and then noticed a few days later how Gamespot's stores are filled with Destiny related marketing. This game is getting a major push and looks to be next-gen's catapult type game.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Destiny
Intriguing but need more info on what is actually going on in the game and what the gameplay mechanics will be like.
Right now, it just reads like a open world FPS."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob NeyerComment
