All the weapons can be used by all classes, to get a sniper you either need to find one or buy one.

Made a vid about how to get to that lvl 20 cave and then explored after. Wound up finding a big spider tank thing that had no level, it was just a yellow skull. It took me like 30 mins to beat the thing, it was a bullet sponge, and all it gave me was a class emblem I couldn't even use.

Speaking of, what are the class emblems for? They don't seem to have stats or anything.

Yeah that thing is part of the devil's layer mission. You can find him in free roam if you know where to go. In the mission, he's surrounded by a ton of enemies that keep respawning, too. But it's fun as hell.

Strategy is Leg shots leg shots leg shots (the ones with the more armor. You'll know if you're doing it right by the damage). And when he falls down and his brain(?) is exposed, shoot that mofo. Trying to get up close to do your special (if you're a Titan) isn't worth it, as he can stomp on you, shake the ground, or shoot pokèballs at you. Grenades work well too. That's how I actually killed him when both me and Pito were 100% out of ammo

After playing some more tonight,I can say I'm officially hooked. The exploration aspect is something I really enjoy,and this game seems to have it in spades.



The weapons I've tried feel pretty good,plus I love using the sparrow,makes me feel like I'm in Return of the Jedi...lol



I can see this game will definitely thrive when playing with friends though,as obviously the enemies are going to be alot tougher the later you get,and that teamwork is going to come in handy.



I am confused however on something...when you look at a weapons stats,and see "59" power,but the impact is real low....what exactly does the power mean?



It also seems like there's going to be alot of things to collect in regards to bolster your armor and the building of weapons.



As far as the MP goes?....I'm not going to touch it,played it a bit and didn't enjoy one bit of it.

But get some friends together and explore the different planets and such?...it's going to be an absolute blast.



Even though the level cap is only going to be 20,Bungie explained that all the "leveling" is going to be more for your weapons and armor,which I'm sure will last a hell of alot longer that getting to level 20.

I'm 100% in the same boat. I just don't know if the multiplayer is even fair tbh. Maybe it'll change when the beta and the full game come around, but in alpha the MP was just too unbalanced for me

Yea,when you preorder,the beta code will be on your receipt from Gamestop,providing they are still giving them out.



The beta starts July 17th,not sure how long it lasts though...I wouldn't see it going all the way to release though,as that would still be about a month and a half away yet...although you never know.

As of last night, Amazon was still giving codes

Anyone know where to find the rocket launcher? Been trying to get one for ages.

I picked one up off an enemy at some point. But I ended up getting rid of it. Using a good machine gun is much better IMO

Yeah, there are some guys that are much too high of a level to kill in the Alpha. I wound up stumbing upon some really high level hive guys at the far end of the exploration mission past where all of the level 8 enemies are. It was down through some underground cave full of green needles sticking out of the ground.

I did like the fact that through the explore level, I made my way back to the area where you have to kill the wizard during the actual first mission, and wound up killing him and everyone around fairly easily since they were all level 4. I love that everything is connected in that way.

Man, I can't wait for this to drop. I can tell that the game is REALLY going to open up once you reach higher levels. Hopefully it has the same addiction level as Diablo once you hit max level, where the grind for better gear and weapons is a blast, at least to me.

Yeah that's where the ogre is. The easier way to get there is the area from devil's layer where you have to fend off 3 waves, there is a Backdoor entrance to the cave.

The really ****ing super hard way is to drive your bike all the way around the world, dodging a bunch of level 20's in groups of 3ish before you get to the main cave entrance guarded by like 15-20 level 20's and one weird ***...thing. That's how we initially got in. It took us a long *** time. But then we worked our way to the Backdoor entrance on accident and were all mad at how easy it could've been.

Regarding the level 20 cap, it's a smart move and one of the same things Defiance did.

These types of games aren't so much about levels as they are skills, armor, and weapons. You'll be raising skills LONG after you've level capped. In Defiance the difference between a level 30 (that was their cap) with 55 skill points was no match for a 30 with 90+ skill points. It was a drastic difference.

Defiance was poorly thought through, I'm not really comparing these games, just using it for reference. Destiny is an amazingly polished title already and appears to be well thought through.

Once we all hit 20 it's all going to be about skills and gear. The sheer amount of resources they're throwing at this title is amazing. I'm sure it will be a quality title with years of shelf life.

They either will need to raise the fireteam max from 3 to 6, or make it so multiple fireteams can go into the same free roam session. That will be a must, because we often have 5 or 6 guys in party playing.

Will pre-order this today at Gamestop, if they can't give me the Beta code on the receipt then I'll go the Amazon route.

The devil walker thing I killed myself, but had to die a few times because I ran out of ammo

Turrets are your friend on that Moon Map. They can take out those vehicles pretty quick and the turrets are deadly accurate.

I got my rocket launcher from the Devil's Lair firestrike mission. Using it in MP on the tank-like vehicles and the turrets are essential.

One thing that has amazed me about this Alpha is that I haven't experienced any lag at all iin the competitive MP so far. Which is something, because my connection is bad. In Battlefield I get killed so fast before I can even react because I am 1.5 seconds behind all the time. I don't notice any lag here.

I had to cut a chunk of it off, but finally got that video to upload, maybe there is a facebook video size limit? Anyway, I kept looking on the right side because I couldn't remember where that cave dumped me out last time, thought it might have been around there, I was wrong. Anyway, at the beginning that building is the overlook thing where you go to do the first story mission.

Oh, and don't try to speed past the level 20 guys on a speeder, doesn't work.

I was surprised to get an email (and notification on my PS4) that I was selected for the alpha. Just played for around 2 hours awhile ago and this has suddenly shot up on my list of games to get.

Gonna share a few screenshots, then will upload a short gameplay video later. Do I need players to be on my friend list before I see them in-game? Would love to play with OSers when I next get to play. PSN is FaV721. Was doing this side-mission about protecting a satellite but I eventually got overpowered and outnumbered being by my lonesome. Managed to upload 80% of the data as a level 4 Warlock so it wasn't too bad!

This is exactly why I want the rocket launcher. If I'm not near a turret I feel 100% helpless when there is a vehicle in my area.

They charge your card once it's shipped. I just preordered from Amazon a few minutes ago and they sent my beta code right away.
