Just got to level 3 and took a break. All wanted was the boots for my warlock. Legendary items dropping like crazy. None for me though.

Hang on a sec, when playing crucible outside of the iron banner the damage rating on a gun has no bearing on how it will perform? Meaning, a 260 suros will do the same attack damage as a 300 rated suros? I think that is what I just read on Bungies website

Always been like that. That's why having maxed weapons in the Iron Banner is so important.

Exactly right Kearnzo, it's always been that way. The only things that have effect in reg Crucible are the bonuses listed in the descriptions below your armor & weapons.

Example: bottom half of magazine does more damage, melee kills replenish grenades faster, etc etc.

But the armor rating and atk value on weapons mean nothing. They default to an equal value for everyone, that's why you see dudes running around with green armor or weapons sometimes.

Don't be so quick to destroy those greens & blues if you Crucible a lot. some of the stats & bonuses are great for pvp.
