I was using the non-upgraded one before Friday and I couldn't really tell the difference.

Honestly, after all the excitement over reseting exotics the only real benefit is that they allow you take on higher level enemies. Most people misunderstand what the attack rating means and confuse it with damage/impact.

A level 331 icebreaker will do more damage starting at enemies 10 levels below you, then at 8 levels below you a 331 will do 15% more damage. Don't have upgraded icebreaker up to 331, but at that point it will do more. Icebreaker already does so much damage though, a 300 icebreaker is still better than probably anything but that new raid sniper.

all I know is Fatebringer is still awesome. my Icebreaker 2.0s don't feel much better than they were, but they are not closed to be fully upgraded yet. I do have 3 Ice breakers so it's my default sniper for all 3 characters.

Finished the Nightfall with a couple buds who were wrecking **** with Fatebringer. Ended up getting Prudence II, a New Monarchy arc damage sniper. Once that goes past 300 it will be time to retire 'The Chosen' which has served me well.

Why is there only 1 exotic weapon with void damage? And it's a rocket launcher. Just thought that was kind of bizarre.

How far have you guys gotten? I only did the very beginning with the thralls and lamps. Got to the bridge section but we couldn't beat it at the time. I see a lot are 31 now so it would probably be a lot easier. What is the rest of the raid like?

we continued from the bridge section that we left off at on Tuesday, got to Crota. we decided to call it a day, played about an hour 1/2. we got the strategy to kill Crota, but just kept getting unlucky in situations.

On Tuesday we were all 30s, we decided to wait and try to get some of our guys to 31 to make it a bit easier and less time consuming. we went back in with 5 31s and 1 30. It was like night and day. 31 is the way to go. the bridge a was easy. got it on 2nd attempt.

The death singer part, it took maybe 6-7 attempts? that wasn't too difficult with the strategy we tried. Crota we tried a few times, just couldn't finish him off. we had him at about 20% health a few times, but he enraged and that is tough. we just need better timings on the attacks.

did pick up the boots from the bridge check point, though it'll probably be a while before I get enough shards to max it out, but it does give me my increased Heavy ammo ability.

We got to deathsinger, but just kept getting overwhelmed by the knights by the time we got to her. Picked up the warlock chest, gives extra fusion rifle ammo so I think I will be using mythoclast-murmur combo more often.
