Auto Rifles:
Pules RiflesGoals:
Auto Rifle is optimal at close to medium range
Damage, Stability, and Range are tuned such that players desire Stability for reliable close quarters damage, or Range for better accuracy at a distance
Changes:
Reduce base damage of Auto Rifles by 2.5% (averaged across Rate of Fire stats, higher RoF took less of a reduction than low RoF)
Reduce effective range values so that damage falloff and accuracy are a stronger factor in combat decisions
Range reduction is less severe in the higher stat values, so now your range stat is more critical to long distance engagements
Hand Cannons:Goals:
Pulse Rifle is optimal at medium range, but can still effectively harass enemies at close or long range distances
Rate of Fire sets a pace for players to both track moving targets, and then deliver precision damage in bursts
Changes:
Increase base damage of Pulse Rifles by 9.7%. DPS is now more in line with other primaries
Goals:
Hand Cannon is optimal at medium range
Hand Cannon is optimal when shots are paced, becomes less effective when fired quickly
Rewards agility when under fire, precision targeting, and snap shots
Changes:
Reduce effective range
Damage falloff starts closer to the shooter, and follow up shots are less accurate at long ranges
Slight reduction to initial accuracy
This is unnoticeable at close to medium range, but underscores the range intentions when used from far away
Fusion Rifles:
Shotguns:Goals:
Fusion Rifles are optimal at mid-range, where targets are easier to track but they’re not close enough to attack while you charge up
Requires combat foresight and the ability to predict a target’s movement to use successfully
Changes:
Blast pattern on a Fusion Rifle burst cone is a little wider
Close to medium range volleys are largely unaffected, but at a distance the projectiles are less likely to land hits on a single target
This reduces the reliability of landing a one hit kill at far range, and makes the weapon better at spreading damage into a group
Initial starting ammo is reduced across all ammo stats. This is change primarily affects The Crucible
Starting a Crucible match, you’ll have less Fusion Rifle ammo in reserve
In PvE activities we persistently track your ammo. We only use initial ammo values if you are logging in for the first time, or starting a Crucible match
Goals:
Shotgun is the most optimal at very close range
Complements melee attacks and other close quarters class builds
Offensively closing on an enemy with a Shotgun is a risk/reward timing game
Changes:
Increase damage by 2x (100%) against all non-Guardian combatants (aliens)
Reduce high end range values - damage falloff starts sooner, so Crucible players with long range shotguns need to be a little closer for successful one hit kills
(Like the Fusion Rifle) Initial starting ammo is reduced across all ammo stats in the Crucible:
Starting a Crucible match, you’ll have less Shotgun ammo in reserve
In PvE activities we persistently track your ammo

I'm cool with him not selling certain weapons. This way when you finally get it your super happy, but not selling the heavy ammo synthesis is killing me lol
I already played this game to the grinder, and to think I have to grind for glimmer so I can buy synthesis is wearing on me.
Now with the rumor that the House of Wolves DLC isnt coming out till May has me finally calling it quits lol
I already have all the raid gear maxed out for all 3 of my characters. I have every raid weapon but the black hammer
What else is there for me to play for?
Anyone else dissapointed with the DLC being moved to May?Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

My biggest beef is with the lack of heavy synthesis. It has basically come to light that Xur is controlled by Bungie, and they have also acknowledged the heavy ammo glitch which is leading to the absolute necessity of heavy ammo synthesis in hard mode. Despite this, they continue to not sell heavy ammo. Classic case of game lengthening, and people are starting to catch on. My buddies and I don't even enjoy Crota's End anymore, so we've been running the Vault. I still need Fatebringer, a few of them need the VoC and Mythoclast, and everyone still has certain exotics they're looking for.I'm cool with him not selling certain weapons. I'm just growing weary of Bungie. I understand taking some measures to ensure the fanbase continues playing, such as grinding for mats like in any other MMO. However, everyone is now being forced to grind the Exclusion Zone for glimmer to buy synthesis for Crota.
I still play a LOT and I doubt it will change, but I no longer have the urge to be online as soon as I can to play anymore. I hope they make some changes with HOW.Comment

Thruthfully, Crota hard mode changes seemed like Bungie just giving a big middle finger for glitching the normal mode raid. Im not running hard mode until the House of Wolves drops in a few months, because im not running a glitch filled raid with a major forced damage penalty. I dont care about the Crota primaries or the shader, and the Necrochasm is trash
VoG is more fun and interesting anyway.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Crota's end hard mode isn't really that hard, we can consistently get to Crota in 30 minutes no problem. The actual Crota fight though, between glitches and Xur not selling heavy ammo synth for a month, it's a giant pain in the ***. If Xur sold heavy ammo synth all the time, it wouldn't be so bad, it's grinding glimmer that is just soul crushingly boring.Comment

Yeah, me and two of my friends have been 3 manning hard mode up to Crota then heading to orbit. We're all essentially happy trying to get the Edict and Abyss Defiant. We'll eventually put more effort into downing Crota, but not until we have enough synthesis.Crota's end hard mode isn't really that hard, we can consistently get to Crota in 30 minutes no problem. The decision to stop playing this game was the best decision I've made all year. The first couple days are tough but it's worth it.
