These fallen weapons would be so much better if they did bonus damage to servitors. Why bungie thought anybody needed bonus damage to shanks is beyond me.

Bonus damage to shanks and dregs are the most useless perks. Congratulations, instead of one shot to down a dreg/shank it now only takes one!

Yep. Only gun I like is the sniper with bonus damage to all fallen and has arc burn. Only way I see another being useful is a solar shotty with shank burn for certain nightfalls.....maybe. Fallen Weapons seem like they were hastily put together, while most of the focus was on ToO weapons and armour. I mean this first month all armor is strength.....

I think the strength thing was on purpose. It's the least desirable stat for most, so it leaves incentive to keep playing before he offers the good stuff.

Shank/Dreg burn though; I immediately shard any weapons with either of those (besides any elemental primaries I get blessed with)

So I just played and beat Skolas for the 1st time last night and got the elder cipher bounty on my first run. I jumped in on some guys who needed a Titan for the CP. Didn't even know where to pop my bubble lol but we ran a practice run so I could get the hang of it. Only took about 5 mins with 3 Gjallys & weapons of light.

Did the 32 arean right after to get the queens cipher and boom. It dropped out the chest lol. After my terrible luck with the nightfall (legendary engram) I guess this was my prize lol...

Still waiting to be summoned but hopefully I can pick up the queenbreakers bow later today and level it for ToO tomorrow.

I've never attempted Skolas. I've been terrified to do so. Hell, I have enough trouble with the level 34 arena.

I don't like using a bubble for skolas, makes it harder imo. I prefer to spread out, less chance of always getting hit or nearly hit by his cannon. Also less chance of him coming towards the crowd.

Also, after you get summoned after the Queens cipher, you have to get 1000 points from the prison bosses.

Honestly, if you're gally burning, you don't really need a bubble. If you do use one, it should be on blessing, not weapons. If you're sniping though, weapons helps a lot.

Guy invites me to his Skolas from the LFG demanding Ghorn or else. I join and Im the only one using the horn. These two morons think they can insta burn down skolas with 2 Icebreakers and one horn.

Honestly, if you're gally burning, you don't really need a bubble. If you do use one, it should be on blessing, not weapons. If you're sniping though, weapons helps a lot.

I've had this same conversation with my buddy that insists that Gally does more damage with WoL. Blessing is SO much more useful.

Weapons boosts an initial impact for a rocket, but not the blast radius or wolfpack rounds. Gjallarhorn has a hidden proximity perk, so unless you are dead center and he doesn't move, you get no bonus from WoL, even if you hit him square so he gets the initial impact (and even then sometimes it won't impact), the bonus is only like 8% (instead of 35%) not even including wolfpack which will take it down even lower (someone on reddit did the math the first week of Skolas).

Figured that since I used all my synths, I wouldn't be trying Skolas anymore until tomorrow at the earliest, so I went and did all 3 nightfalls (got a decent shotgun, a fusion rifle I sharded, and an etheric light!). Then, the guys from lfg I tried (and failed) to do Skolas on last night invited me to try again, and so we did. One of them ended up leaving, I believe, but then we got him. Then did the 34 and decided to do 35 again with this random dude we had picked up. The 35 took a lot longer with the new guy, and actually downed Skolas without getting mines once (me and the new guy both got drops) and then finally got him on the "last try".

Figured out that it actually works better to go out by the cliffside and burn him there; there's a lot more room to spread out, there's no walls for splash damage, it takes longer for any of the adds to get to you, and you're much closer to 2 of the 3 mines. And, while it still helps, this way you don't actually need a titan (though we did both times).

Ended up getting a Void Aegis of the Kell (Pulse Rifle) and Void Wolves' Leash (Scout Rifle). Haven't tried the Pulse yet, but I love the scout rifle so far. And got lucky with the damage boost to all fallen on both. Got the Cipher out of the chest too, so now just waiting on Variks before I do the 32/34 on my Titan this week.

Man, I'm beyond frustrated with Variks....We are not friends at all. I've rolled 6 Judgements chances in hopes of getting ANY armor that isn't all strenght. Nope not once, only thing I've gotten are the weapons. To wit, 2 snipers, a rocket launcher, the AR, another hand cannon, and a fusion rifle. Just beyond frustrating (what isn't with destiny RNG) at this point.

My three characters are 34. Only thing I have left to do is beat a 35 Skolas and I'm done. The fact that the big chest has (if is still does) a slight exotic drop. This DLC is really just not doing it for me anymore. I don't want to wear all strength armor so my hunter can throw his knife faster....None of the weapons are worth the time to level them up (Maybe Shadow of Viels which is a carbon copy of the LDR-5001, with fallen burns.)
