Also, even though it wasn't mentioned, I would expect the 310 black spindle will get it's promised corrections next week with this patch, and the 300 spindle will go away from the archive, so make sure you have all your infusions completed.

Re: Destiny
It's been too long at this point, hasn't it? Just to be on the safe side l'll probably use it to infuse my eirene rr4 up to 310.
As far as the Sleeper, it wrecked Atheon. I could definitely see using it for bosses. It's a situational weapon, not a cure all like the ghorn. I don't have the touch of malice, and black spindle actually isn't all that great for Oryx. Gjallahorn 2.0 was a stretch, but there probably shouldn't be a gun that you can plow through everything like that again.

Re: Destiny
Hope I don't have to wait for the next time they have The First Firewall mission since I turned in the Ikelos Core today. Hope it a daily reset and I get the quest tomorrow. Just got the Dark Drinker and Bolt Caster and they look amazing.Comment

Re: Destiny
I dunno, I like where the Sleeper is at. Like any of the other exotic weapons, it has its place in certain encounters. For example, I rode into a Taken event with the Blighted Descendant already spawned. You obviously don't want to risk getting close enough to empty your sword into him, so I sat back and emptied 7 Simulant rounds into him. It took an absurd amount of his health away with me never really being in danger. Not that these world bosses are all that hard with two or three people anyways, but it gives an idea of its potential. I feel like it'll shine in the CoO.Comment

Re: Destiny
Really liking Ace of Spades and Eyasluna more than other hand cannons even over Hawkmoon. Also, now that I have maxed out the Night Stalker sub class, there is no doubt for me anyways that this subclass is the best all around for the new subclasses, although I'd take the Titan as like 1b. I love Stormtrancer against the cpu, but not for pvp. The Shadestep is so great in pvp. I love it combined with the envenomved smoke.Last edited by LBzrule; 10-08-2015, 07:22 PM.Comment

Re: Destiny
See, I disagree with you on Stormcaller. I think in most pve situations, I'd rather run sunsinger or voidwalker for dps. It's a lot safer to launch Nova bombs. But Stormcaller wrecks in PvE. Feedback means you win just about any melee fight, and stormtrance is amazing in maps with corridors. It's my goto pvp subclass for Warlock.
Sunbreaker is cool, but I'd still rather use defender. But having one hammer bro for his debuff on Golgorath is nice.
Nightstalker is great. Hunter used to be my least favorite class to play, and now I love it. Shade step is also awesome for holding tether for Golgorath since if you do it, his bombs stop tracking you.

Re: Destiny
I suppose. I'm probably down on Stormcaller in pvp because I have not had a lot of success with it; not that it is not powerful, but every time I hit the super someone is there to kill me quick before I can start wrecking havoc.
Also I'm loving the now crucible additions, Mayhem Rumble, RIFT and Salvage with the latter two being my favorite new additions.Comment

Re: Destiny
I did everything to get the Sleeper Simulant because I'm a glutton for punishment like I'm sure a lot of you are. I'm not a fan of these mega grind missions that don't challenge you in any way other than your patience. I sat through 10-15 "eliminate the target" events on mars in various areas while I waited for a warsat to pop up.
I can't figure out why some of these quests are designed to make you dislike the game. The Black Spindle mission was cool and challenging. Sleeper Simulant was just boring, bad quest design.Comment

Re: Destiny
I don't think it was badly designed, just not properly tested. When you test only for proper operation, and not fun factor, things like this happen. The questline made sense, and if we could have flipped a switch like the testers could to get a warsat to drop it would have been fine.
The exotic sword quest, the crucible questline, are both far more glaring examples of just bad design.Comment

Re: Destiny
The best thing for the ability kills is playing Mayhem Crucible modes, I believe it only takes 100 pvp kills opposed to 500 pve kills. The farming stuff is really bad though.Comment

Re: Destiny
Go awaken the hive, use bloodbound as your void super. When alot of the thrall get tethered, use a void grenade or poison grenade. They all share the damage and all count as void kill. Id advise using monte carlo to keep your poison bombs flowing as they count as void kills as well. The thrall die to them quickly. Very Very tedious but still not as bad as having to do the void kills as a Titan.
Farming materials >>> 500 void kills as a titan. The entire questline for the swords is tedious and designed to get you to hate Destiny. I cant believe someone in that office of thousands of workers brought this quest to Luke Smith's office and the man green lit it. You want people to have positive memorable experiences playing the game. Instead they have us flying around mars in circles for 2+ hours not having any fun whatsoever. Thats only one part of the tedious questline. 500 ability kills? Why didnt that say get 500 sword kills with the same type? Wouldnt that make significantly more sense? For a studio that claimed they just learned to respect our time, they really had a brain fart on this one.Comment

Re: Destiny
It took 40 minutes to get 250 ability kills on my titan (the other half was gotten while farming), it really wasn't that bad (awoken the hive + Monte Carlo + magnetic grenade + disintegrate). It was all action, grenade, punch, shoot, punch, shoot, punch, shoot, punch, die, repeat. Not to mention you could just play and get these.
Collecting the materials took more like 3 hours and it felt like 10. As bad as farming materials was at the beginning of Destiny, this was faaaaar worse, at least you continually got something for your time, this I would go 20-30 minutes without getting anything but planetary materials I would need to delete later because I already have too many to begin with.Comment

Re: Destiny
Played some strikes with a friend last night and it reminded me why I hate playing strikes.
1. Saber 2
2. Shield Brothers
3. Shield Brothers
4. Vallus
5. Shield Brothers
6. Saber 2
7. Dust Palace
Not sure what can be don't but that is just not fun. All the strikes in the game and we end up doing shield brothers three times inside an hour....Moderator
