PvP in this game is absolutely amazing. Played about 30 games of crucible/iron banner and in the final 10 it clicked for me and I was consistently putting up 2+ K/D ratios and leading my team in points. Things like the subtlety of the Warlock's glide and the different ways to use it, map control, everything.

The idea that PvP is an afterthought like some said earlier in this thread is laughable.

I didn't play enough MP for things to click, but I liked it.

In fact I was getting crushed in one on ones even at a level 8. It seemed like my auto rifle could not put people's shields down, and my shields were dropping really fast. This was as a Titan.

Not really a complaint though. The game is a blast and I just never got to figure it out in time. I also am more fond of straight TDM type PVP.

Where are the differences? Loot chests, weapons tiers sorted by color. Hell you meet your version of clap trap a minute into the beta. Same type of missions. Same type of base with allies scattered throughout it to buy upgrades off of. It's very similar.

I'd say its much more like Phantasy Star Online than Borderlands.

I've never played that. It's nothing against destiny like I said. Borderlands is a great game.

Glad people enjoy the multiplayer but like I said before, if bungie relies on purely the multiplayer for end game is going to be stupid.

However with bungie saying that they were disappointed that with halo they were limited to multiplayer dlc but with Destiny they got more freedom make me think they will be supporting the coop as much as the pvp.

Pvp to me was just to hectic and uncoordinated cluster. Maybe it was the gamemode.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of the pvp at all but it could just be me not interested in that stuff anymore and finding co-op more enjoyable now a days.

The co-op was a blast. My favorite thing was how you could flank the enemy and surprise them. That and turning a corner and seeing all hell break loose as you stumble into a firefight.

I was on the map with the plane graveyard and one of those timed defend points kicked off. It got hectic but the attack was repelled by me and 3 others. Then we hung around that area and fought off the enemy spawn points. At some point behind the area we were in another user started one of those defend sessions and suddenly the four of us were caught in gauntlet that was closing. It became sheer chaos and it was such a blast.

I dig how balanced everything is, I can't tell you how many times I was hit critically but limped away to regen. That is so much better than going down and having to re spawn. Feeling like you escaped the jaws of death is quite thrilling in this game.

I really enjoyed the pvp. It took a little while for me to get used to it though. I got absolutely wrecked early on, but eventually got pretty decent.
