From what I've heard, each one is better than the last. Return of the King is suppossed to be really well done, The Two Towers is pretty good and the Fellowship is decent. I know people who have rented them, I'm not sure if they are worth buying since the games usually didn't keep their interest all 5 days of the rental, but they definitely had fun for a few days.

And if you're getting an Xbox, you must get Halo. I think it's a rule. It's the best game on the system(best game on any system in many people's opinion). It just dropped to $30 new, the single player is worth it but if you know people with xbox who you can link up and play multiplayer(it's not on xbox Live, you will have to do actual system link) or if you have siblings who will play, the multiplayer Halo is the most fun you'll have. I never played shooters very much, but I've spent more time playing Halo than all my other xbox games combined. It's also the only xbox game I've owned for more than a year.

The Fellowship game was made by a company that bought the rights to the book and not the movie, so the LOTR Fellowship of the Rings is totally different than the EA titles. Its a below average role player, not terrible but not great.

The Two Towers and The Return are basically brawlers with insane graphics. Think Golden Axe 2004. The action is button mash through a scene, watch a cool movie clip..Rinse, repeat. Its not the deepest game ever but the way EA integrated the movie scenes into the game has never been done anywhere near this nicely. It makes you feel like you're playing the movie. Great graphics and nice "extras" like concept art and behind-the-scenes-movie stuff. Unless you're a super-huge LOTR fan though, I'd slap this one on the rental list, since you could finish both over a weekend, and there are 10 or so far better games for you to buy as a new XBOXer

I have decided on KOTOR, the GTA Double Pack, (getting Splinter Cell from a friend), and another game. I was wondering what people thought of Jedi Academy, is it more of a rental or is it a good buy? Also, has anybody fooled around with GTA's custom radio stations that's available on the XBOX versions?

Hello guys, I'm a long time Playstation gamer and I'm switchin to the "darkside" and picking up a XBOX in the next couple days.

I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea or two for games. When I get the box, I'm going to get KOTOR and probably NBA LIVE 04, getting Splinter Cell off a friend, and probably the GTA Double Pack. I was wondering if anybody could give me an idea for another game?
