Nothing like heads gonna roll as the enemy on his horse gallups by and loses their head. Dang!

Enhanced grapeshot to a group of baddies is very satisfying. Dismemberment everywhere.

So I decided not to kill the guy Lambert wanted to kill. His story seems genuine along with his remorse; he also has a family. Lambert, being a prick, was pissed. Without spoiling anything, will this have negative consequences going forward?

I don't think so, at least not major ones. But I found some letters during that quest that made me believe the guy was lying, and the stuff at the end was just him giving a sob story and trying to weasel his way out. Also, the wife and kids didn't exactly look like they were happy. He had to die.

I did the same, and decided not to kill the guy. Not because I felt he was genuine, I think it was all BS, but I couldn't kill him in cold blood with his family near by. I saved him, not for his sake, but for his family.

Purchased this used from GameStop. Any advice or concerns I should have being a newbie and all? How about DLC, any necessities right off the bat?

Download all the free stuff. It adds some quests, armor, and art, and none of them are terribly huge files. They've released free stuff weekly.

There are 2 DLC expansions that add 20+ hours of game coming in the future. I bought the game + season pass for that right off the bat.

Are the expansions meant to be played before or after the original story? I'm asking because in Batman, the Harley Quinn expansion ties in directly prior to the main story. I like playing things in order.

Good thing I made a save just before the confrontation. I normally roll with my choices but I'm not so sure I paid good attention to this quest line, hence me questioning my decision.

Fiend 4x the size of Geralt plows him over - 1/4 vitality gone.

Fall 6 ft. off a ledge - barely survive.

So I accidentally wandered in to a witcher contract that the game thought was too difficult for me, yet I somehow accomplished the contract.
