Spent some time walking around Novigrad on foot at night, taking back alleys and exploring. Ran into a few quick side quests or conversations his way.

The recent one involved a strumpet and her client arguing on the street corner.

I've played so many games of Gwent today. I'm making an effort to go back and knock out all the side quests related to Gwent that I've been neglecting.

I just don't find the game that enjoyable. I'll admit that It's more fun now that I have a decent deck, but it's sort of predictable.

Man I'm still enjoying the game but Skellige just seems so light on story stuff. Mostly it's just treasure hunts down and smugglers caches.

Finally beat the game and got my Death March trophy. Im not too sure if my ending was the best. Afterward I looked up how the ending is affected by your actions specifically, not a fan. Seemed so arbitrary. But it was a fun ride. If I do a second playthrough, Im putting it on the easiest difficulty. Death march wasnt back breakingly hard, but man some fights were just straight cheese mode on that difficulty.

I finished the game at level 33 so I never got to see mastercrafted Wolf gear

Do it! I am re reading them now as well. I seem to always do so every time a Witcher game comes out. They are a good time, they really are.

Whats the chronological order of the books?

They kind of jump around. Some of the books are a collection of short stories and some are full on novels. I just read them in the order they were published.

Just finished the game and I can say without a doubt this is the best game I have ever played, the Mass Effect trilogy with always hold a special place in my heart. The Witcher has raised the bar on what I expect from next gen story driven rpgs, I can't wait to read the books then play through all the games.

Finally hit my first burnout with this game, just finished up the Novigrad quests and got to Skellige and I need a break. Probably averaging close to three hours a day with this game. Hot and muggy outside in the boring days of summer... perfect time to binge on video games. Planning on taking a week off.

Think I'm around 50 hours total. Anyone know how far into the main story I am? I don't see a 'percentage complete' stat anywhere, maybe I'm missing it. Guessing about 70% of the way there since I still have all of Skellige and then Kaer Morhen to go through.

If you just got to Skellige, you're nowhere near 75%. My rough estimate -- if we're just talking story missions -- is 35-40%. Even less if you count the various sidequests.

Wow, I was way off lol. I guess that's exciting.

I have been doing a lot of the secondary quests but not many of the Witcher contracts. Guess I have long way to go!

I highly suggest you do Witcher contracts that are around your level. While they're fun no matter what, it's a bit less so when you overpower them because you're over-leveled.

According to guides there are three Acts in the game. Act II begins after the Skellige section, which is where I'm at right now as well. I do a lot of secondary quests though, especially the bigger ones. I'm a bit overpowered for the quests though, I'm at 23 and the Main Quests right now around in the 15-18 level range.
