I was strict disc-only guy for a long time, switched to digital recently. I am not saying anybody is wrong or right, nothing worth arguing over. I like downloading digitally now. I do wish there was a little more incentive, like maybe reduced price, some way to "trade in" your digital copy (if thats even possible? like sell your right to play the game to someone else for cheaper?) or a few days early access, but it seems like enough people do it already so Sony probably won't need to make it more enticing.

I just like DLing straight from the PSN store. No biggie either way.

Can't wait for the game. Can't decide if I want to try and finish Dragon Age or just put it on ice for awhile.

Theoretically you would have had digital trade ins on the Xbox One but the internet happened and MS walked back their plans. Probably next gen.

Decent discount and large 400+ game collection on Steam are why I bought it for that platform in addition to fps/resolution.

So digital may be the way to go from here on on out if all major releases unlock a day early.

Like I stated before.. I would if there was a $ savings.
I simply can't pass up paying 48.00 for the disk.

90% of the time I get the disc. But I do get digital every now and then under special circumstances. When I have two games that I plan to be active in playing at the same time, I like to have one digital so there is no disc swapping. Since The Show is still getting played big time on my PS4, I opted to do The Witcher as a digital download. The PSN did drop the price a little for the pre-order, not as much as Best Buy's GCU price, but it helped. This way I can swap between both games without taking the disc out. Had I not had another game I was actively playing, I would have gotten the Witcher disc.

Plus a game the length of The Witcher also is a pro for the digital version for me. Hopefully the game is good and takes me 200 hours. By that time, the resale might not matter that much to me. What will be bad is if the game doesn't do it for me and never gets played since I can't sell it back.

It's crazy. Everywhere I go online there are people totally laying unto the game. Like really?

Yeah, that's silly. I spoke with my wallet, uninstalled the GOG client and grabbed it from Steam instead. Preloaded and ready to go.

Nope, was going to buy it directly from them, with their new gog client. Opted to go with Steam instead where I've already got 400+ games.

I might still have a free copy coming from Fry's, have low expectations there and not sure its worth going and doing a fake exchange just for it. They're not participating in the Batman giveaway, only Witcher and there's no messging anywhere, salesman insists I'll get an email on release day.

Apart from the graphics, the whole downgrade thing and the fact that CDPR followed a questionable, at least, marketing plan, there's the gameplay. Which is 99.99% amazing. That's what matters in the end in videogaming.
