Ps4 tip: Swiping up or down on the touchpad opens the map. Holding it down goes straight to inventory.

Also did everyone get the crystal raven right at the beginning... I almost walked right by it.... I found upgrades for both swords and my chest armor.. Just message me or later I'll put a spoiler up where to get them...

I just got through the first boss fight, officially bumping up to the third highest difficulty, think it's called "blood and broken bones," instead of normal

I've found a couple articles that have helped me get up to speed on the lore and also game mechanics

I'm not sure yet. It's a quest item.

If you remember where the spot is you can go back and get it. It's still on the ground.

How do you use the torch?

I have it in the slot. But Geralt never pulls it out.

i ended up buying this on pc and omg the graphics are stunning My pc runs its on ultra apart from the hairworks crap which drops my fps from 60 to 35... This is my first witcher game so i have no clue on what im doing. thanks to everyone for posting links to helpful sites, this game has alot to take in.

How many console games do you get these days that even have that much stuff in the box? Manual, compendium, map, even the soundtrack? I was very impressed.

And they say that there will be free DLC?

Same way as cross bow and bombs. Hold L1 and cycle to it then hit R1 to use it.

This is the first rpg since Skyrim which I am willing to learn and pay attention to. I usually ADD out and go back to playing a racing game in which I can just drive and not think too much, but The Witcher 3 is compelling enough to keep my attention.

The rest of the game more than makes up for it so far. I'm a guy who generally won't play a game with cruddy movement, but it's good enough in this game.

Don't let that stop you. I do feel the controls do become 2nd nature after a while. Enjoy this gem
