Re: The Witcher 3
Purchased and completed The Witcher 3 back when it first dropped (sheesh, was that really almost 8 years ago already?!? Time is getting scary). Just bought it again yesterday to try this upgrade, hope it really has some more meat 🍖 on the bones!Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Should've done like the rest of us (or probably just me) and bought it across all platforms.

The Witcher 3
After downloading the update, game won’t load. It’s telling me I can’t continue my save because I don’t have the expansion packs. Have always had them from Day 1. Not sure what to do.
Update: Got it working, wow this game looks nice.

Re: The Witcher 3
I downloaded the update, but it's still showing the PS4 version for me. And it shows the PS5 version being $30.
Edit: Figured it out. Had to go on my computer to the PSN store and the free upgrade was there. Added it to my library and now I can download the PS5 version.Last edited by LowerWolf; 12-14-2022, 04:24 PM.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
So ift seems like at least on the ps5, if you recently reinstalled the game like I did last night, it doesn’t automatically give you the next gen update. I had to go to the PSN store on the ps5, search for the Witcher, and see the upgrade in addons at the very end of the list.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Re: The Witcher 3
I play on a PC with an RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 9 5900. I'm curious what PC users' settings are to get high end graphics while maintaining 60 FPS. I'm getting anywhere between 40-55 FPS with Ultra+ and ray tracing. I'm hoping to find a setting that has a more consistent, 60 FPS.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
So far the DX12 client (which is the one that includes RTX stuff) is tanking my system hard. I expected to not be able to run anything Ray-Tracing-related well, but even the Ultra+ preset drops to around 30 FPS in the handful of White Orchard settlements (and even lower in the rain). On the other hand, I can put the DX11 client in Ultra+ and it maintains almost a solid 60 FPS everywhere.
i7-8700, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3070.
Edit: Oh wait....I think some of the RT settings were lingering when I was testing just Ultra+ in DX12. After I fully shut down the game and restarted in Ultra+ it ran much better there too. Only Ray Tracing tanks it (which, again, is kind of expected).Last edited by bcruise; 12-14-2022, 09:06 PM.Comment
