Re: Single Player Campaigns That You Didn't Finish

I really have gravitated away from sports games because it's just a monotonous task to do franchise modes now.

I started playing more non sports games and in doing so have embarked on far too many without playing through one entirely.

That's the biggest challenge for me is playing one game from beginning to end. It's easier said than done.

Command and Conquer 3/4 and Red Alert 2/3-Im garbage at RTS games

Dead Space franchise-Got 3 free from the SimCity debacle and bought 1/2 on Amazon sale never got into them

Kingdoms of Amular Reckoning about 5-6 hours felt like Fable 1 in a non interesting world

Hitman Absolution-Played a few hours couldnt get into it. Loved Bloodmoney though.

GTA4-Tried a few times made it to the 3rd island GTA4 to me had an identity crisis trying to play more realistic but keep the silly over the top feel.

Company of Heros-Same as other RTS I'm really bad at them

LA Noire-Good and interesting game but sooo repetitive

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen-Got it free on PS+ a few weeks ago. This is a game I thought I would love but I'm not. Game seems stupidly hard why does all the enemies have so much HP and what in the world is going wrong with the UI its so tough to know whats going on and the game mechanics are not explained well. Oh and when will my pawns SHUT UP

RE6-Played for about 45 minutes and haven't tried since this is one the worst purchases I think I've made as a gamer.

The Last of Us - the game didn't really catch me and I just stopped playing halfway through with no urge to finish it.

Skyrim - had a blast with this game but other games started coming out and I never went back

Grand theft auto 5 - Story and characters didn't do anything for me. Game felt repetitive as usual. I ended up just watching some videos on youtube for the game and was glad i didn't waste my time for a full play through.

Re: Single Player Campaigns That You Didn't Finish

I do this a bit as well....

Max Payne 3 - Started, got close, made the mistake of playing on the hardest difficulty and got to a point that just irritated me so gave up and still havent gone back to it.

Batman Arkham Asylum - Started, got sidetracked and never went back.

Far Cry 3 - Barely played it, not a huge fan of first person shooters which turned me off early on and I bailed on it.

Jak & Daxter Collection - Beat the first one, was never a big fan of the 2nd and 3rd ones, started the 2nd one and then quit as I remembered why I didnt really care for it.

Ratch & Clank Collection - Started and got sidetracked, still havent gotten back to it.

There are probably a lot more that Im forgetting but these are the ones that stand out to me.

Re: Single Player Campaigns That You Didn't Finish

There are soo many games that I didn't finish, that it's better off if i just name the games I have finished.

                Games I have finished:
                Far Cry 3
                GTA 5
                Batman Arkham Asylum
                Batman Arkham City
                Uncharted 1

Wow... I can't think of any other game off the top of my head this generation. I have over 100 games on steam. & my 360 has died too many times to count.
I have ADD when it comes to games apparently.

Re: Single Player Campaigns That You Didn't Finish

                  Let's see here:

Gears of War: Judgment - Weird, because I'm a big Gears fan. Just never got into Judgment at all. Didn't feel like Gears.

Battlefield 3 - Got midway through the campaign, then my save file got corrupted. With the multiplayer, I just never tried to do the campaign again.

Dead Space - Fantastic game. Just haven't gotten sucked into it. I'm sure one day I'll sit down and go to work on it.

Fallout 3 - Another great game. So much to do, so little time.

                  Skyrim - See Fallout 3.

Halo Wars - LOVE the multiplayer. Played a lot of this the past 3 years with my friends. Just never got into the campaign.

The Force Unleashed - Saw it at Gamestop for $4, picked it up. Played the first level and that was it.

GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony - Finally bought the DLC at the most inopportune time: right before GTA V released. Played about a third of it and haven't played since.

Little Big Planet Vita - Just don't have the time or the urge to play.

Final Fantasy VIII - Bought it for my Vita, played it as a kid but never beat it. Still working on it, but at a snail's pace.

Red Dead Redemption - Borrowed it from a friend. Great game, didn't have time to beat it then.

Max Payne 3 - I love the series. Just didn't get into this one.

Wow I think the majority of all the non-sports games I own!

I can count 5 that I have finished: Batman: AC, Batman: AO (tedious as heck!), Last of Us, Tomb Raider (2013) and Dishonored (my favorite). I don't know if I am getting older but I just don't have the attention span to sit through non-sports games and finish them.

I haven't finished any of the Uncharteds, GTAs, RDR and a whole bunch of others. After a while they all become the same: Go there and beat up this. Which is why I liked Dishonored, it gave you an objective and let you loose with toys. Apart from sports titles, all these other games are like Candy Crush to me.

                      Mirror's Edge
                      GTA Vice City
                      Pretty much every Bethesda game

Couldn't get past one of the final levels in Mirror's Edge, played Vice City when I was young and I remember not getting past a shopping mall filled with enemies and all bethesda games just lose their appeal after some time (IMO of course).
That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.

Both Witchers 1 & 2, last Hitman game on 360, and the last Darksiders 2 game sadly, and GTA IV (like 5 times I started and quit, so boring!).

Assassins Creed: Revelations- Just couldn't get into it at all.

Assassins Creed 3- Absolutely loved the setting but hated Conner and how long it took to get into the game.

Borderlands 2- Actually really enjoyed this game. Not sure why I stopped playing.

Fallout New Vegas- First Fallout. Just wasn't for me.

Batman Arkham City- Never got around to finishing it.

I really wanted to like that game and while it is pretty good not worth the wait IMO. Done with the series.

I gave up on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I used them as trade bait for PS4 games. I'll probably never finish Tomb Raider (PS3) either. I bet I wind up trading it in and getting the PS4 version.

I did beat BioShock Infinite, but never followed through on my plan to finish it a second time. I've still got the Burial at Sea DLC to finish on it too. I'm hoping to knock that out over the holidays.

And as awesome as everyone says it is, I never bothered to buy The Last of Us, as I could easily see myself not finishing it.

Along those same lines, I bought the PS3 version of Injustice when it came out; upgraded to the PS4 version. I've yet to even begin story mode (though I do play the other modes). Haven't started the story modes on Killzone or Battlefield 4 either.
