Just had my best match ever. 10 Titan kills, 5 Pilot kills, 3 Deaths, 3 Drone kills. Man the Burn Cards are AWESOME!!!!

Don't bash a game you've never played. This game is very fun and requires some skill. If you don't know what you're doing, you will get destroyed.

Why not? I don't have to play it to know how bad it is. While I agree watching videos is not the same as playing a game it still offers enough insight into whether or not it will be good or not. That's why we have things like youtube and videos of games so people can see them without putting money towards them and find out if they will enjoy it or not.

I mean I guess some skill is better than none but it's not as good as requiring lots of skill.

So maybe if it becomes open I'll try it but I still don't know if I want to install origin. It's just another game with lots of potential that is not being utilized in favor of appealing to more casual gamers to hit a larger audience.


Also those of you on PC I've heard lots about how poorly optimized this game is. What do you have to say about that?

Yeah I love the burn cards. Just wish they would have left the xp related ones out of the beta. Kind of useless. Anyone get the card where you can immediately start in a Titan? I've only got it once but man does it have you the upper hand. I usually am using the cards that subtract time off your Titan count. Unlimited frag card is fun too.

It's an 8 gig beta. I'm sure the final build will look better in pc. You can think a game is not for you without playing it. That is fine. The lengths you are going to make it sound like you actually know about the game without even playing a second of it is hilarious though. Just don't buy the game. I don't understand why you care so much if you have no intention on getting it.

You know what doing that does? It removes the skill from the game. If anyone can easily pick it up and win then why even make it?

Oh right AAA doesn't make games anymore they just make money.

Why else does anyone make a video game in this day and age? To make money. Why did anyone ever make a video game? To make money. In order to make money developing a video game, you need a lot of people to buy it and like it. In order for this to happen, the game needs to be accessible. Accessibility of mechanics in a AAA game is not inherently bad so long as it is paired with depth.

Titanfall is plenty accessible and has plenty of strategy and depth for a console first-person shooter, from my extended play time with it. You on the other hand are in no position to make any sort of evaluation of the game, having not played it on the PC because "lol Origin", and having no intention to purchase an XBOX One because its hardware doesn't match a top-of-the-line gaming PC. That leaves no platforms for you to play the beta on and thus leaves no means by which for you to form an educated first-hand opinion about the game.

You seriously ought to play the game and form an educated first-hand opinion before evaluating it. If it's not for you? That's perfectly fine, don't like it and move on. Being so overtly negative about a game with no first-hand basis to form such an opinion, however, is trolling, which is not welcome behavior on this forum.

I'm not talking about looks. I'm talking about how it runs. I've heard of people not being able to run it on plenty powerful machines due to the poor optimization of the PC version.

Also the reason I care is because the casualization of video games like this is going to kill the industry and as much as I'd love to see EA fall I don't think some of the devs they have deserve that. Sure people may be into it for a while but just look at CoD it's sales are starting to drop off, slowly.

AAA gaming is going to crash unless they start making real games again and not these casual BS titles that are meant for the masses.

Man you really need to stop if you have no idea what you are talking about. I have played almost 50 matches. I have got that burn card once. The card last for one life when you select it. You are reaching and trying too hard now.

You lose infinite grenade the moment someone kills you. Most burn cards are good until you die.

Also guys don't forget to throw away cards you have mutli of, once you reach the max 15-20 ish card you can't get new card until you use or throw away.

Believe it or not, there's more than one way to make a good game.

Not every game needs to live up to hardcore standards. Just like every sports game doesn't need to be a sim.
