The Division does have a single player portion of the game though.. but even still, its not an all online only game.

I remember sony tried something like that awhile back, forget the name of that game. I don't think it ended so well

Anyway, I believe some of the details about this game just came out like a couple of days ago.

The always online stuff will be killer, even tho most people do play exclusively online. I'm suffering from bad internet, until I move to a new apartment, and I can barely play BF4 online as it is.

One thing Next-Gen is exposing is that a lot of people have real sh*tty online connections! Lol! A friend of mine was downloading a game at launch and it took him 13hrs! He found out he was using the slowest speed with his cable company!

I haven't played the offline BF or COD in years! They could use those resources for something else.

If all gaming was online multiplayer only it would probably be the end of it.

One day it may be close to that, never completely... but close.

                Alas, we can only hope.

There'll always be a place for a good story, and pure multiplayer has no stories....

I'll be interested to see how this works out. I like the vids I'm seeing, but usually prefer single player games nowadays.

Just realized that I should probably hold off on buying it the first few weeks its out, given EA's spectacular run of great performance from online games in the past year.

                      Hopefully things are better.

Reading the changelog for BF4 since it's been released is really embarrassing. I will never support that game.

Battlefield 4 on the PC is excellent now. Took two months but that's the way it is with EA (and DICE).

Exactly and I'm tired of supporting the practice of releasing a busted product at launch. Battlefield notoriously having issues made it easy to hold off getting it at launch. The thing is though, it's no longer affecting 1 platform or 3, but in BF4's case, 5 platforms. Some of the bugs the game shipped with are absurd. The apologies don't come off as sincere either, especially the one EA CEO Andrew Wilson put out. An apology shouldn't start with gloating that you rushed the game out the door, that the critics who played it in perfect conditions love it, and stats of how much time people have logged before getting to "Oh right, we ****ed up, but it's cool, here's some double XP and a pistol scope."

One of the best FPS games I've ever played. I play BF4 daily on PS4 and it's amazing, I haven't had a problem playing it in months. It definitely is excellent, such a fun game.

I do agree with Flawless' comments about games being released in some form of beta still. But I'm just saying, BF4 is an amazing experience now.

This is an issue we will prob never get rid of with the direction we are going. Games are going to be pushed out early by major developers if they know that people will buy them and they can just fix things along the way. And with always online being pushed more and more they will see this as an acceptable practice. Sucks for the little guys like us who just want to spend our hard earned money on a game and unwind from the long days at work.
