Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I don't really care for mech games but since this one has a good amount of non-mech gameplay and amazing graphics I think I am going to buy this game. Does anybody know if we will be able to fly in jets or have a mech that can transform into a flying object, that would be sweet!!Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Read over on NeoGAF that at E3 it was mentioned you'd be able to customize your mech but didn't say to what extent....
Please be true, would add so much to the game.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

On topic: I suppose personalized mechs would be doable on the new systems. and the 8 mech limit seems fair too, as not to crowd the map and have no one in foot battle.

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
At first I thought this game looked kinda gimmicky....After that looks like an instant purchase and possible Killer IP for X1.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I like the idea of the levels also loaded with "Popcorn" AI.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Destructoid's E3 2013 Game of the Show: Titanfall
Those that managed to play Respawn Entertianment's Titanfall at E3 this year had the ultimate bragging rights. Players were like small-time celebs at evening events, with others asking everything they could about the title. Show attendees ran as fast as they could when the doors opened at the Los Angeles Convention Center just to get in line for the behind-closed-doors showing of the game. This was a totally hands-off experience, but it was still enough to be the talk of the show.
Few (us included) had a chance to participate in the multiplayer matches that served as demonstration gameplay for the behind-closed-doors showing. If you thought the view-only group was excited about the game, talk to someone that actually played it. Their enthusiasm for the next thing from the Call of Duty creators will rub off on you. This sci-fi mech/soldier shooter is that good.
We often have a difficult time in picking the standout title from E3, but it seemed a bit easier this year, even with the countless next-gen offerings shown. Respawn's Titanfall seemed to tower over them all, and for that we've named it our E3 2013 Game of the Show.
Its lengthy list of gameplay systems allow for a ton of emergent scenarios – in a given moment, you’ll see someone ejecting from a Titan, jet-packing onto a teammate’s robot, capturing control-points with the aid of A.I. allies, running on walls to avoid enemy fire, and decimating a group of guys with a satchel charge. Titanfall’s combat creativity, systemic variety, and rapid mobility constantly surprised me. Anything could happen at any moment, and what did wasn’t what I expected.
The complex level design goes a long way to support pilot play in addition to Titan combat. Open spaces leave the robot powerhouses exposed to the men and women wall-running around them and spiraling down the rabbit hole of an obliterated building. Winding indoor paths have you looking over your shoulder for someone sneaking up on you, getting the drop from above, or setting traps around the corner.
Visual stimulation in Titanfall borders on overwhelming, in the same sense of a spectacular scripted single-player sequence. The fact that everything in Titanfall is dynamic, real-time, and happening as a result of another human player is incredibly impressive. With enough firepower, players can tear ships out of the sky and bring them crashing into the earth while Titans drop from space and onto soldiers. In an epilogue to Hardpoint matches, groups sprint to an escape ship, their enemies hot on their heels and angry with their defeat.Titanfall is my E3 2013 Game of the Show because it defied my expectations as a hardcore multiplayer guy at every turn. Going in, I expected it to be nothing more than “Call of Duty with anime robots.” It wasn’t until seeing it that I realized that is the stuff dreams are made of – and then Titanfall went above and beyond that reductive concept with innovative ideas that pull me outside my comfort zone. It's also so much more than your usual E3 demos, which are canned, scripted, stiff, and perfect -- Respawn wasn't afraid of letting its Titanfall matches going a little south, and letting it show what a real fight is like out there in the future of modern warfare.Last edited by Flawless; 06-20-2013, 06:12 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
