I've been wanting to buy this game but I haven't been able to log onto XBox Live since yesterday. Is anyone else having problems connecting?

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
As was said previously there are so many different ways to attack each map it feels nothing like the tunnel vision just have to see the other guy first gameplay of COD. The verticality also adds another element to the entire map where as Battlefield does a good job with some verticality and densely populated spots, Titanfall makes the entire map a vertical threat. You don't have to find a stairwell or parachute up to a perch. You make your own way up from anywhere. But the ability to run up a wall by a capture point, activate your cloak and hang on the wall like Batman waiting for an unsuspecting victim to run into the capture room looking around on the ground is awesome (this is my favorite thing to do in the game and I rack up defense points with this strategy).
The titans add a whole new dimension to the fight that you have to intelligently manage to use them to maximum effectiveness. Knowing when and how to use your titan in guard/follow and piloted mode can effectively make you a one man wrecking team. There is just too much here to pigeon hole it as a COD clone. At the same time its not as expansive or methodical as Battlefield. But for me it blends a fantastic balance that creates a game that is just flat out fun and extremely addictive.
I do worry about longevity because there really does not seem to be much right now that will keep me playing for long given how much I am playing now. I fear the lack of unlocks (while I can completely understand the nightmare of balancing issues with new weapons given the gameplay) may doom this game in the long run. But that will be dictated by Respawn's commitment to DLC and what they can come up with.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I spent from 6pm to 11pm getting my PC in order. I uninstalled 955 gigs worth of games, installed newest bios, updated all my drivers, closed processes that didn't need to be running, and shutdown unneeded programs from starting. All to get my PC ready for Titanfall.
I placed Titanfall installing then went to bed, got up this morning and everything is good to go for when I get off work today!!Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
In the beta, I never got close to making it to the dropship. Either I couldn't get up to it or it would be destroyed.
First game I played yesterday the map happened to be Angel City. My side got whipped pretty badly so when the game was over I was already on top of a building so I made my way to the extraction point. As the timer got down to 5 secs I cloaked. All of a sudden a guy comes out of nowhere from above me, drop kick, dead. Grrrrrr.
I love the game. You can play it as fast or as slow as you want. Even the wall running seems to be a bit faster and easier to chain than it was in beta.Comment

Same here. Just buying it from the marketplace would have been easier. I'm just going that route from now on.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I've noticed that for hard point I'm letting my Titan go on autopilot. When I use my Titan a lot on this game mode at the end I notice I'm at the bottom. Most points are indoors so titans can't really affect them.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I usually pilot or set mine to follow on the way to the point and then set it to guard when I go in to thin out anyone trying to follow me in. People are getting smarter as they learn the game and more and more have started setting up on top of the building after capping the point so this protects you on your way in.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I'm doing the same thing. I'm also doing it for a completely different reason. I just don't feel like I'm all that good in my titan. I just haven't adjusted to that mindset yet. It's really easy for me to get stuck in a group of two or three enemy titans.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I don't understand why you had to download that much uncompressed audio. They put in all the different language packs, seems to me they just should have let you choose your version and just download that language. I probably have 15-20 gigs of Spanish, French, German, and Japanese audio wasting space on my SSD.
Just an inconvenience that will probably end up with me moving the game to my 1 TB drive, because with Titanfall my SSD can probably hold 2 or 3 other full size games.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
My favorite weapon in the game is by far the satchel charges. Those things pack a whallop. Nothing better than rodeoing a titan and dropping two satchels on it as the pilot gets out and then jumping off and detonating the titan and the pilot. You can usually get them on and get off before they deploy smoke as well. Tossing one into a group of grunts and specters and watching the chaos is fun as well.Comment
