Re: Dying Light
This game is actually a lot harder than the first few "intro" missions make it seem. You really need to take your time and stock up on supplies and craft items to help yourself down the line. Haven't been able to join anybody's cooperative for more than a minute or two yet, anyone else having that problem?----------------------

Re: Dying Light
Finished the prologue.
Game is fun so that's really the most important thing.
It's pretty much Dead Island but IMO better so far.
Nothing Earth shattering but a good filler game to waste time.
And yes you really need to take your time and scavenge for supplies and be careful of surroundings. I especially take time when lock picking. Not sure how scarce lock picks will be (You can craft them though) so I cringe when I broke one (Which I've only broke 1 so far).
Picked up a couple side missions so far.
As far as the story goes I have no problems with it.
Spoilered but not really any spoilers...
SpoilerTypical infection/ cure mystery with obvious tones of possible corruption. Not that far in but that's the tone I get.
Still wish sprint wasn't on L3 but getting used to it. Running around will get better the more things you open up in skill tree.
Skill tree consists of:
Survivor Tree:
Agility Tree
Power Tree
Looks to be a fun game in the end. If you liked Dead Island you'll like this.Joshua:

Dying Light
Game was fun until I got to the part where I had to activate those things for night defense or whatever. Literally like 10 minutes into the game. Just couldn't get my guy to jump onto the pole and stay on it. Very annoying. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Not a fan of trying something so simple multiple times. Controls just seemed clunky. Hoping I just not used to them yet but I feel jumping and hanging onto a pole 10 minutes into a game should not be so frustrating.Last edited by ricky24; 01-28-2015, 01:12 AM.Comment

Didn't take me long at all.
I agree the controls feel a bit stiff but I've gotten used to them. Biggest thing as mentioned, was sprint on L3.Joshua:

Re: Dying Light
Im feeling this game so far. Played 3 hours or so last night, starting it up early today. I enjoyed Dead Island and was anticipating something similar, but this game is miles better. It is quite challenging at times but not so much so that it is frustrating (yet).
Glad my impulse buying problem finally got one right this time.Comment

Re: Dying Light
After a full day of playing, I'm definitely liking this game a lot. It doesn't do any one thing particularly exceptionally, but it does do a good job at what it tries to do. It doesn't blow me away in anyway, but it still is a lot of fun for me.Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: Dying Light
I'm having fun with this but they need to patch a few things. I was clearing out a safe zone last night that had three regular zombies and one big dude. I was able to pick off the three regular ones by drawing them away from the group one at a time, and then I went after the big guy once I had him alone. I eventually killed him (it takes a couple minutes, if you haven't tried yet) and right when I did the three regular zombies spawned right on top of me. There's no reason they can't disable timed respawn points when you're in their proximity. They better fix that.----------------------

Re: Dying Light
There are side quests available at a lot of the settlements/safe houses, plus job board quests, parkour races, airdrops you can chase down for rewards, and some stuff to collect I think.Comment
