Can't remember the name, but a really nice BTB map just came out. Plays more like an arena map, but still had a big feeling to it. Lots of chances to smash people from above. Lots of huge broken pipes, or tunnels. I also started 12-0 on it, so I am probably just really excited about that haha.
Hoping for BTB Super Fiesta next... Speaking of Super Fiesta, do the special bayonets on the end of weapons actually do anything. I figured when I meleed it'd be an instant kill like a sword, but it was just a standard melee.

Details on May update - Memories of Reach
Matchmaking Preferences
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been detailing various bits and pieces arriving with Memories of Reach. One of the features included will be new Matchmaking Search Preferences. These options will be present on the Arena and Warzone playlist selection screens and will give you the ability to choose between Balanced, Focused, or Expanded as your search preference. Here’s how these break down:
- Balanced (default): Search for a match based on your fireteam's skill and network connection quality.
- Expanded: Widen search parameters to find the first available match with reasonable skill matching and network connection quality.
- Focused: Narrow search to find the best match based on your fireteam's skill and connection. Search times may be longer than normal.
A new PCGR
Over the years, the PGCR has evolved, and Halo 5’s PGCR has a variety of changes on the way based on your feedback. Let’s take a look at some of the new additions…
If you want to see more, press A on any player and open the new Player Recap screen, which displays:
- All Medals earned from the match, including quantity, medal rarity, and description
- Tool of Destruction
- Killed Most (see who each player killed most, and how many times)
- Killed By (see who each player fell victim to the most, and how many times)
- Press LB or RB to view Commendations or Progress from your Recap
- Press LT or RT to view Recaps of other players from the match.
Sandbox Updates
For Memories of Reach, we’ve fixed a bug where Spartan Charge would not properly target enemies at the edges of a red reticle on the horizontal plane (you can still get red reticle and miss vertically). Fear not, though – players who skillfully evade a Spartan-Charging player with Thrust will still escape without taking damage. Additionally, Spartan Charge with Speed Boost will no longer be a one-hit kill, and Spartan Charge with the Gravity Hammer will no longer be a one-hit kill.
The last item is a slight increase to movement speed while crouching. This has been increased to allow for crouching to be a more viable choice for players to flank and attack. The speed isn’t drastic, but after months of testing we’ve found it to be the sweet spot.Stasis

Team Arena Summer Preview and Feedback
As first mentioned in our Apr. 15 Community Update, the Multiplayer Team is putting the final touches on the maps and game types that are being considered for the Summer Season of the HCS Pro League. These updated map / game type combinations as well as updated map layouts will be offered in the Team Arena playlist, and once finalized, the updated map variants will also be applied globally (across additional playlists as well as Custom Games) later this month. Over the next few weeks, the Multiplayer Team will be working with pro players on their feedback on final map layouts as well as maps & game types, and also collecting your feedback here on Waypoint in new, dedicated feedback threads.

Infection
The widely requested mayhem that is Infection is also receiving final tweaks and polish. We’re playtesting the game type across a variety of dev and community maps, and precision tuning is nearly complete. Let’s unveil a few specifics on the game mode:
- Total player count: 12
- Number of rounds: 4
- Round time limit: 3 minutes each
- New Custom Game option: “Last Squad Standing”
- Spartans have all Spartan abilities (naturally!)
- Infected have Thrust, Smart Scope, Stabilize
- New medals
343 is even going back and updating the campaign. More specifics in the link.
Campaign Relief
Halo 5 Campaign Balance Update
Having had a few months to digest player feedback, reviews, let’s play videos and internal feedback, I’ve been working on an update to Halo 5’s campaign balance, aiming to address parts of the game that players yelled at us about, or that bugged me and the rest of the team enough to address even without external feedback.
Given that we’re constantly updating the game adding new content for Multiplayer, and we’ve got Warzone Firefight and other cool stuff on the way, I took the opportunity to touch global difficulty tuning and address areas where Halo 5’s difficulty was spiky, too easy or inconsistent.
I was pleasantly surprised to get the okay to make these sweeping changes, given how rarely videogame campaign difficulty tends to be updated after launch.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Played for probably 3-4 hours the past 2 days, it's such a smooth online experience.
The game is great fun it's just hard as hell and every match is sweaty. I like the competitiveness but sometimes the guys I'm playing feel like Gods...especially in SWAT. That mode is really a lot of fun because of no radar/shield but damn it's like a camp fest. The spawn camping is unreal with that mode.
Still trying to work higher than mid-gold in my CSR but it probably won't be for awhile, I'll probably need to buy an Elite controller as I feel just a tad slower than everyone. I also need to get better without aiming, I'm so used to aiming all my weapons from Destiny.
Pumped for MOR on Thursday, if anyone is into playing whenever you're on let me know.Fino Alla Fine
