Re: Sunset Overdrive
I must be missing something very simple, but I am about 40 minutes into the game and just got to theSpoilerChuck E Cheese
In the character screen I only see how you can equip your ranged weapons, amps, traps, etc.
Can anyone let me know how to do this?Comment

Re: Sunset Overdrive
You have to buy a different melee weapon.
I just unlocked the air burst or whatever it is called. At least I think I just unlocked it. Just got a prompt on my screen saying to hit rb while in the air. I hope I didn't have it unlocked right away and just didn't know it because it is really awesome.Comment

Re: Sunset Overdrive
You change your melee weapon at the same place that you purchase clothing. Progress further along the storyline if you haven't been told about the clothing yet as it's part of a story mission.Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: Sunset Overdrive
Almost picked this up at at Walmart yesterday but didn't because I'm getting COD Monday
But I sold so stuff today so I'm thinking about going and getting it.
Is it a game that will keep your attention for a while? Or is it a short but fun ride kinda game? (Giddy)Comment

Re: Sunset Overdrive
It's keeping my attention. I probably have like 10 hours of play time. I find myself just traversing the environment a lot. It's so much fun. Reminds me of playing tony hawk once you get good at it it becomes a blast.
There is multiplayer too. So it's not like it's campaign only.Comment

Re: Sunset Overdrive
I got my white SO bundle Tuesday. I will say I was a little underwhelmed at the game initially, both visually and gameplay-wise - visually mainly because of the XB1's issue with crushed blacks which I resolved making some input changes.
Gameplay-wise I think you have to get at least a few hours in before you can begin to start appreciating the ability to traverse the city and get a handle on the controls. Guessing I'm only maybe 5hrs or so in but the game has been a blast so far and it's gotten progressively more enjoyable to play. Really like the Jet Set Radio/fighting zombies feel. I'm anxious to open up more of the weapons in the game; curious to see if it's like Ratchet and Clank where there are a ton of cool weapons to unlock and use in whatever fashion you choose.
Also really like the customization aspect to the game. Initially I created a character that looked more like me but I immediately realized it didn't feel quite right with the game world; so I changed it so the character is more appropriate for the world without being too over the top silly. But it's cool you can go to any extreme you want from a customization standpoint. Very very good game imo.HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: Sunset Overdrive
Have given it a go but it isn't really my type of game. Love the look of it and I appreciate the idea and creativity of it but don't quite like the constantly moving nature of the play. It's kind of like being a weaponised pinball bouncing and darting and rushing in all directions all the time.Last edited by 18 eighty 5; 11-03-2014, 01:55 AM.We are the music makers...Comment
