Man, so much negativity. Whether they sold the game as more than it is going to be is one thing, but the game still looks mighty fun to me. I think I'll do the smart thing and reserve my copy and my opinion of the game until it's ok.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I'm taking down payments on this beautiful rustic dinner table for $200 (preorder) with a final price of $1,000 dollars (Retail Purchase).
Pitched Idea
Just don't be upset if I left out a few things like stain or even "design" ideas. It will still do the job of a table.
Delivered Product
SpoilerLOL I know......I know....horrible analogy, yet still holds true to my point of view. If you attempt to SALE something and promise certain things will come with your product you deliver. Financial backers would be pissed in any venture if you are supposed to deliver the product you "sold" them on, but deliver a dumbed down version of that product. Let me remind you, this is not far fetched for Ubisoft...think Watchdogs and Assassins Creed Unity for recent examples.Last edited by Phobia; 06-19-2015, 02:24 PM.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Removal of companion app and dumb downed graphics to PS3 quality. Might seem like a exaggeration but its pretty damn close. Basically AC Unity/Watchdogs 2.0Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Look, I know you like to be a wise guy, but all I said is reading all the negativity here, it seems a little premature so far. Maybe wait til Beta (even Betas don't usually tell the whole story), or the game comes out to say you've been sold a crappy wood table. If not, fine, do what most people do these days around here and just complain.
I've been underwhelmed so far with the next gen games (compared to last gen it seems pretty much the same to me) but it's just silly for everyone here to say they are no longer getting a game that we really don't know enough about still.Last edited by TheDutchDad; 06-19-2015, 02:44 PM.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I'm assuming one of those vids posted here shows the lackluster graphics?
I'm also guessing the early vids shown from months ago were off a suped-up PC?
The game certainly looked terrific in that demo. It's one of the reasons I was ready to jump to next-gen consoles.
Hopefully they can make adjustments and provide graphics comparable to what was shown early on.Comment

Yeah, totally, since we've all played it and can form those hard opinions of the game.

Now with that said, bury your head in the sand I could careless (Ubisoft is the model of releasing perfect games). One thing I do know, if you HOPE to see The Division fixed, it will be the people complaining the loudest that you hate which might get them to correct the wrongs. If it wouldn't be for people complaining your Xbox One would be online only and have a camera spying on your surroundings. Consumers complaining is a powerful tool in this new society where everyone is connected through the internet and social media, things spread like wildfire.
Oh and I understand your "game is not out" stance, but that still does not mean we can't disagree with the step back the game has obviously taken since last seen. Which is exactly what we saw with Watchdogs & Unity, those didn't magically turn around and end up what they were promised to be at the start.Comment

Thanks Phobia.

Yea its a side by side comparisons. 2013, 2014, 2015 differences.

Best guess, I'd say yea. Powerful PC seems common now unless it directly says "Seen on Playstation 4".

The two E3 videos before were great, this last looks like a significant step back, VERY similar to what we saw with Watchdogs. Hell I cancelled my Unity preorder over the same crap with it.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
The graphics downgrade doesn't bother me much.
It's the gameplay that disappoints.
When it was first introduced at E3, there just seemed to be so much strategy and teamwork involved, mixed in with good action.
What they showed at this E3 was a snooze session with constant lulls in action.
It's like they don't know what they want the game to be so they're just piece-meaning it to meet their deadline.
Looks like even another delay won't help this game.Comment

I don't see why you getting bent out of shape!! Wise guy......really?? Grow some thicker skin man. I made a "funny" so to speak, but it was never malicious towards you in anyway.

Watch Dogs downgrade continued to get criticized in part because the game was mediocre too, so it's just another point to knock the game for people looking to criticize it.
The gameplay here just looks generic, and Ubisofts demos for this game come off as entirely scripted. Combine it with the development troubles and it just leaves people skeptical, especially considering Ubisoft's recent track record of falling short on promises and releasing buggy and mediocre games.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Take Fallout 4....It'll look great but probably not top of the line graphics. I don't mind, because the gameplay will be so addictive.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
