    Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

Its been like this since release. The haves and the have nots. People that power leveled the first day had a huge PXC advantage because EVERY DZ boss was dropping between 12-15 PXC. Bullet king was another one. If you happened to kill him during regular play you missed on on that gear farm and PXC farm. The exploits in the game suck, and as someone who did the APC farm 4 or 5 times on Thursday let me tell you its not fun, and I didn't have the desire to do it until I had full 240 gear, I'm also not one of those that runs around the DZ looking to curb stomp people as a rouge.

The game is a mess and I've heard about other MMO games releasing content early to let people play test it. Since Massive has abysmal QA, they need to look into that. If my account gets banned for exploiting its whatever to me personally. I will go grind my solo franchise in the show, or play Dark Souls, or Destiny or any of the myriad of games out there (and that is something Massive is well aware of as their player base shrinks.) There will be another exploit when the new incursion come out and so on and so forth.

If they aren't going to ban then they need to make it so everything you carry and your stash contents determines your gear score and add a 200+ DZ bracket.

Not saying ban just wipe the account. Level zero and base gear. A significant chunk of the player base is dropping because of allowing exploiters to get away with this in game and legit players are getting frustrated. I love the game but am considering walking away because allowing this is effectively putting me at a disadvantage for 70% of the end game content.

Don't be afraid to make a punishment that makes cheaters leave. That's like hiring a kleptomaniac to work a register just because you are short employees.

And when nobody is playing your game and you have to answer to Ubisoft board members? Then what?

I know the state of the game is a mess now, but perma banning, account wiping every exploited account will be franchise suicide. Especially for this game where everyone has exploited it since launch.

What Ubisoft, moreso than Massive, needs to do is give this studio more resources, more devs, possibly a companion studio to help them fix this game. It's a very ambitious title, that quite frankly is beyond what massive can do on their own. That's not a knock on massive. Ubisoft saw the sales for this game, this game is their new flagship title for the year without assassins creed. So they need to be spending every resource managing and cultivating this monster IP they have.

It is NOT the exporters fault for taking advantage of the game state. That's Massive's poor testing/ ubisofts' fault.

Like here massive sits on the first full weekend of their big incursion and its been glitched all to hell. But you have casuals who have life commitments that won't allow them time to dive into it until this weekend. So they could do one of two things. Disable weekly rewards or disable mobile cover....They choose to punish the casual rather than attack the problem at its core....

To get the weekly all you have to do is change the date on your PC/console (might just be PC, not sure on that). For as much as they server check and how bad that effects basic gameplay (like the other day when I start shooting a cleaner heavy in the DZ only for him to immediately teleport to 2 feet in front of me and burned me down), how they don't check something like bombs used/enemy wave for the APC is silly.

Massive is overwhelmed. That much has been clear from jump street. The growing pains will be plentiful if Ubi doesn't get them help from somewhere.

                  Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

I agree with a lot that has been said the last 2 pages.

I really like this game, most of the time I would say I love this game, but sometimes I really hate it.

If I were a dev, I would be equally as concerned that exploits are boosting the server base and play time. That maybe has something to do with the lack of great loot drops in general in regular game, lack of reward for playing the game straight up. Right now the only way to get a 240 gear item is a once a week reward, I think at least. I think that's a problem. Playing Diablo 3 the other day, that's a game that does loot right. Borderlands, and to certain extent, Destiny, as well.

They've got a lot of problems to figure out. I agree they are overwhelmed, I see now they have probably been overwhelmed from the jump. They've made a ton of money off this game already, they need to start investing in fixes/progress.

                  EDIT

Right now you can buy a 204 SCAR in the BOO that really isn't that great. It costs 900 PC, almost the entire cap of PC. On the flip side of that, you can grind to 75 and 90 dz level and very some pretty beastly weapon blueprints, but that's not super realistic for a lot of the player base, especially since Rogue play has taken over and rogues are kings.

When I get gear in the dz, whether it's dz6 or d1, I just view it at crafting materials. I dismantle everything. Haven't seen anything higher than 182 drop other than the nomad gear sets. Same for challenge mode.

                  This is a problem.

Yea, giving 95% 163 high ends in the dark zone is another issue. Its not as if giving 182's would be the end of the world. They'd still be 99% terrible.

If the dark zone was 95% 182 high ends, and 5% 204 high ends, at least I'd feel some incentive to try to get that amazing drop. The truth is that 204 would drop with unusable rolls the vast majority of the time anyway.

As of right now the dark zone is just a good place to get crafting materials. They keep saying they want drops to be the primary way to gear, but their actions make crafting the best way. All they've done is slow it down a bit.

So you're saying a majority of the population are exploiting the game and would walk if the rules put in place were enforced. I find that hard to believe but do concede that a large number would walk away. But I will also tell you that the board members of Ubisoft care infinitely more about the brand they have created than the game time on one game. And a very shaky image is taking a massive pounding and currently the brand equity erosion from what is going on is more impactful to ubisofts bottom line than game time. The revenue from this game sales have made it a win for them already. Those board members only care about ROI they don't care if one person or one billion are playing the game. If the capital required to fix the problem exceeds the revenue then they will shut up shop faster than Green Monster Games.

Rockstar had almost unlimited resources and could not fix the exact same problem massive is facing. Games can not be made bulletproof and without enforcing their TOS then the capital required to fix the problem is too large for profitability. The excuse its not the exploiters fault is one of the worst I've ever heard. Different scale obviously but when someone commits a crime they are either just mentally off or they have weighed the risk reward of said crime and decided the risk reward of breaking that law is worth the punishment. It's not the fault of the police for not stopping every crime. A system is put up to deter crime and a system to punish breaking of those constraints. You can't stop every law from being broken but you can punish in situations that something is clearly stated. Right now there is zero risk for devoting your time to willfully trying to break the game. That needs to change.

Punishing anyone for doing the glitch is a really bad way to go IMO, a LOT of people did it.

I'm definitely done if they ban me or something for doing it, even after they hot fixed it there are still tons of issues. It's laughable at this point.

                              Yeah.

Massive be like: (or at least some player base)

PC players exploiting dz with hacks - 3 day ban.

Incursions being launched in a piss poor state that being exploitable to hell and back - Puniah them harshly!

                              Lol. [emoji23]

If massive bans/punishes people fpr doing exploits that dont require any outside devices to do then they are idiots. Simple as that. There is no argument to it at all.

If they dont want exploits how about nipping them in the butt as soon as they start instead of waiting forever to do anything?

Also people that are yelling at the top of thier righteous tower saying "take thier gear or ban them" are essentially people who didnt have time to do it or dont want to do it and get mad at others who do.

                              Just stating the facts.
