Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I played a lot of the alpha. My concern with this game is what happens when you hit the level cap/finish the story missions. Will there still be things to do after that, or is the game pretty much over? I'd like to see the developer talk about what the "end game" content will be.
What I experienced in the dark zone doesn't make me ever want to do that part of the game again. lolComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Some goals/missions would help. If the streets were packed with AI and the drops were better, that might be more fun. However, I'm assuming the game can only support so many enemies/players on the screen at once so I don't really see that happening.
I'm not going to pass final judgement on the game off the alpha and beta. I'd just like to hear the developers talk about what we can expect in the final product, because if what we played already is it, this game is going to die off fast.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
There was absolutely nothing to do other than kill players, and The Division isn't really designed in a way where thats much fun. The AI spawned at very few locations, and at a very slow rate. Plus the loot that dropped wasn't worth the hassle at all.

I'm sure there will be much to do that we haven't even dug into yet.
I will agree at times the AI was stupid, but, being an Alpha I didn't really think much of it. If we get to March 8 and they are still the same, then I will worry.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I highly doubt that what we saw in the Alpha is going to it for the final release. Things were heavily capped for the Alpha. Lot's of things locked, progression, weapons caps, etc.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I think having realistic guns is a problem in that regard, you have an expectation of what an M4 or a mossberg should do and have problems when they don't. That's why most successful games like this have a more fantastical setting.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Yeah, the realistic setting is throwing a LOT of people off. This is essentially an MMORPG lite in the same vain as Destiny. It's easier to accept bullet sponges in that game due to the setting.
Thankfully, I knew going in what style this game was gonna be so the enemy health situation doesn't bother me at all. I still have the same questions about it that I had for Destiny, but even with the perceived lack of content Bungie gave us, I still sunk more hours into it than any game I've ever played.
BTW, there are a LOT of gameplay videos covering various aspects of the game on the Division reddit. Everything I've seen looks pretty damn good so far. Can't wait to try it myself in the beta.Comment
