Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Starting back in my first mmo and then on I've always enjoyed being a healer/support character. Hope I can be useful in some way in that regard when this comes out"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I think Strain mentioned that you could even shoot a health grenade at your teammate if they needed and you couldn't get over to them.Comment

You going to play this at the same frenzied, extremely fast pace that you played Elder Scrolls Online at lol?Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Love what I've seen lately and the premise. I really lose the immersion though when you have a M60 and it takes 300 bullets to kill a higher ranked guy because of the RPG route the game is taking. It works for me in games like Destiny and Borderlands but I have issues with it in a Clancy game.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
It's an mmo and an rpg, it tells me that this game is going to be a long grind for levels and gear.
While grinding along the way your M4, M60, MP5, etc are going to pump hundreds of rounds into enemies before killing them.
It's too bad that they went this route and made it this type of game paired with the realistic environment. Ruins the immersion but that's how they made it so take it or leave it.
I'll buy it and give it a go because it looks fun for now. But the second I get the slightest sense of it becoming an endless repetitive grind I'm done. Destiny already did a good job of suckering me once, not gonna do that again.Comment

Considering the setting and weapons used in this game, I was hoping it would combine the best of the two worlds; Destiny and Tom Clancy.
I was looking for something more realistic with the RPG/MMO elements of other games.
I'm still looking forward to this game though and hope to wait on passing judgement until I've played it myself.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
Maybe I'd feel same you do if I didn't play the Alpha, but everything you bring up isn't a concern of mine after playing the crap out of the Alpha. I didn't play anything else that weekend when the Alpha was out (this was right in the middle of all these new games dropping) it was so fun.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I don't think there is really a problem, but every time I poke my head in this thread you're pretty pessimistic on a game you haven't even tried (Alpha.)

I didn't play anything else that weekend when the Alpha was out (this was right in the middle of all these new games dropping) it was so fun.SpoilerWelp put it this way. I haven't been watching every single thing that came out.
Yesterday I saw Centerstrain put some videos out and one of the things I did say was he made it look more appealing, and secondly I'd probably use my gamestop credit to get it.
To my surprise I see the guy loading clips of bullets into a random unarmored thug, and he not going down.
One was halfway down on his knees after losing health, and he hit the guys with another semi automatic round clip and he was still okay.
Another was hit with a grenade and didn't even move.
Another getting chopped up by his machine gun and the guy still hits him with a bad which almost took him out...odd
So yeah it was very surprising and disappointing. This isn't a sci fi game, and never was this what they were portraying at E3. Probably would've taken backlash if they did as others have stated, the setting for this is wrong.
Anyway, so im communicating what I just saw with DirtyJerz.... because everyone else is watching the angry joe video, I wasn't. Then Candy slaps me with the "you need to be online to play SP", which I wasn't clear on and im sure some others aren't either.
Sorry but these devs have really done a poor job of communicating with the fans. Forget the youtube videos for a minute, because half of them are a snorefest, they have literally said much of nothing all of this time.
Anyway, yes some of this news is very disappointing, and I will get to see for myself very soon, more complete than this one everyone else is about to play
I'm not telling you not to like it or not to buy it. Imagine what some of this news is to someone who is now looking for info since release is near.Last edited by 23; 01-18-2016, 02:13 PM.Comment

It will be track season so that will help keep me occupied outside of non-stop gaming.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4)
I can't help but think Tom Clancy would not have been pleased with his name on a game where it takes 150 rounds with an M-16 to drop a guy. I thought the whole point of the "Clancy" branding was realism?Comment
