Main reason is I am 100 percent certain I will be playing this game for at least a year. I enjoy it that much, I want to play all the content it offers. Might as well save on the season pass.

I hate to turn this into a "this vs another game" thread but I'm just being honest when I say this is the game I thought Destiny would be, for me, just talking my perspective. I love it. I feel it offers something for everyone and does so many things well and that's based just on the SMALL slice we were given in the beta.

Ok, well I just noticed I'm going to get about $20 in gamers club reward zone certificates from purchasing my Astro A50's so once that clears I'll go ahead and pre-order the Gold version. You guys convinced me, LOL

So this may change as I play the open beta but my primary plan is to build a character around skill power (for turret DPS, heal power/heal recharge) and health (just to, I dunno, not die easily?) since the other guys in my crew are really good at killing things and I'm not so much. Figure I can let my turret do some damage and absorb some aggro, I can lay heals down around the team, and add in some DPS of my own here and there, just try not to get in Bolts way of destruction

Not always, when I moved to Columbus I tried to buy a mattress with $200 cash at a Mattress store (didn't have a checking account yet) but they refused, said they'd been robbed too many times!

I always thought a business could not refuse cash based upon what is written on cash but oh well...

              Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

Seen this on the Division forums, not sure what to make of it or if it makes sense, but I thought I'd post it here and see if anybody here can make heads or tails of it.

With all the talents, perks and skills being maximized at level 30 along with a whole new re-populated DZ it brings forth a question, should you even bother entering DZ prior to level 30?

One would argue that with a DZ vendor available in BoO and you leveling your character through the PVE encounters that DZ area is essentially pointless until level 30, there is no incentive to go in there when every minute you spend there is another minute someone else is leveling to 30.

              Thoughts are welcomed.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

I actually agree with this logic completely. I'll be base building and story/mission grinding to lvl 30 where the real fun begins.

                Then I'll tackle the DZ.

                ...

Actually, upon further thought I'm going to want to raise my DZ rank as well so I'll be mixing up both. What good is lvl 30 DZ gear if you're only lvl 30 but DZ lvl 1 lol.

Yeah it is a good question and something I was hoping to discuss with you and the fellas as launch got closer. For awhile I was thinking it would be pointless to go into the DZ before lvl 30 but it may be nice to mix it in every few levels at a certain point? Not sure how yall feel

Yeah a mixture of both sounds like a good idea, got to keep both ranks moving in the right direction

This is exactly my plan. I'm just not that great at taking out people with headshots and the like so I found in the beta I work well to bring up the rear and provide cover in that fashion. And also heal people that go down.

I just decided to go with the Gold version yesterday. Only because I'm buying the digital version of the game on the XBone, and Best Buy had/has a sale where if you buy 1 gift card you get 20% off of the second one. So I bought two of the $45+$5 gift card packs for a total of $81 - $5 reward cert = $76 for $100 in Xbox money. So $76 for the gold digital version is not bad at all. If this Best Buy deal didn't come up I would be buying the standard digital version.

Wow, I never thought of doing that, good idea! I wanted the $99 gold version but wanted to go digital...didn't think I could have both as I felt if I was going to get the Gold version I'd have to buy physical to get my 20% off from GCU.

                            Thanks!

Hmmm... I wanted to go digital, but I had $40 in Best Buy Reward Zone certs and $73 on a gift card and then $10 back for preordering and 20% off. Tried to figure out a way to make this work for me, but I don't think there is a cheaper way than going physical. Although I would love to be able to fire it up the night of release. I dunno too much!

EDIT: I tried to order some gift cards online and it gave me $20 percent off, but it's only $10 bucks... Maybe they don't have the the $45+5 gift cards for PS4 so it won't work the same as it did for you on XBO.

Yeah. It ends up being just about the same as my 20% off for gamers club would have been for the physical version. Only thing I miss out on is the $10 reward for preordering, but because both my son and I have Xbox ones and I'm primary on his Xbox we will both be able to play at the same time. So that's better than the extra $10 reward card for me.
