David Sears has left SOF studios and will only be an "adviser". Per the SOF Studios Facebook. This game is never going to be finished.

One of the reasons I backed this game on KS.
Feeling less and less excited about this game, hope it all works out.

Seems like the game should still be in good hands.

Yeah, sounds like the design of the game is done. They just have to implement it for Steam early access. I am cautiously optimistic.

Maybe I'm spoiled from the shooters I play now, but that looks horrible. Movement and engagements looks so bad.

Looks bad but thats sorta how they moved back when socom wa son ps2 to some degree. Looks very similar to the old socom games but this being on PC only just kills it for me and im a HUGE socom fan

It's pc only at the moment but I believe the plan was to have it on the PS4 as well at some point. At the official website they say there is a subsequent release for the PS4 planned. https://www.sofstudios.com/index.php?/page/h-hour.html

I will be in the closed Beta starting this Friday. I think it looks basic because they just transferred this over to Unreal 4 engine and did not have much time to tune it yet. I think they said it will be on Steam Early access on April 21 for those that might be interested in it.

I would like to see the players movement toned down just a bit especially the strafing look's like they are on ice. I know the original socoms were like that but you have to evolve at some point. If it comes to PS4 I'll give it a look I have no interest in pc gaming.

played the beta today, and not really excited.

                              My issues:
Looks like a poor remaster of PS2. For being on the UR4, its very blah.

Very very arcady feel to movement and shooting, just wiggle back and forth while aiming for the head.

It just gives off the feeling playing an older game without the good nostalgia.

Your first hand experience exactly described what I assumed watching the video.

                                That's too bad really.
