No worries. I managed to save my cash thankfully.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I have an insurance/tracker question.
I went thru the tutorial with LS Customs where they give you a free tracker and free insurance. I used my car and then had to end my session. When I went back online I could not find my car and I don't have a contact for insurance.
Now when I get another car I have to pay 2-6k for tracker insurance. What did I do and did I miss my opportunity for (basically) a free car?Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Survival is a good time and if you can last, some decent cheddar. Although I completely suck on the Industrial Plant and Sandy Shores maps because I don't know any good hiding places. You just get bullrushed from every direction on those maps.
Holy hell, one of those missions you get from Simeon is a huge pain in the ***. You have to collect two cars that are driving around; one of the cars is not a problem, but the guy driving a Coquette is a complete *******. You can't catch him cause he goes Mach 5 around the whole map, but then when you do catch up, you have to shoot the car to **** to the point where you fail the mission cause the car gets destroyed.
First time I tried to catch him on the freeway. I thought I had him pinned in, but he slams into an oil tanker semi at full speed and the oil tanker goes flying backwards and explodes, while he keeps speeding forward in his little sports car. WTF? Well finally I catch up to him and I shoot to try head-shot his ***, only now the police are instantly alerted and I have three cops on my *** within 5 seconds time. He beats the car to **** slamming into the cops and I can't get away cause the car I'm in has two flat tires.
Finally I kill the damn driver, but I have to flee the scene to evade the cops before trying to complete delivery. I eventually get away from the cops on a dirt bike, then heading back to the car boom, the mission has failed because the car was destroyed. DAMMIT. Not my fault the driver is an ******* and smashed it to bits ramming other vehicles.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
^ A few of us tried that last night. The first time, I grabbed a horrible vehicle for it and we chased that bastard for so long. Then got 3-stars and completely harrassed by the cops. What a ****show!
Tried it again. This time we were able to catch up to the fast car before he got out of town. But same as you, we kept missing the headshot and hitting the car. It blew up. As the driver chasing that damn thing both times, it was very frustrating.Comment

Its a nice touch that your passenger can not only set the destination GPS, but can change the radio stations. I don't think Pack appreciated rolling through town listening to Johnny Paycheck.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I've been looking through my modem settings on the web browser and I don't really have a clue what I'm doing to disable a firewall.
There's all kinds of random settings about firewall settings and then there's a tab for port forwarding (which doesn't list anything that applies).
Anyone familiar with Netgear wireless gateway.. feel free to help me out.
I found a few links for information, but this one http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/de...ter%2Fgateways doesn't really match what settings and options I have.
I tried, but I froze up in your garage and couldn't move around.Last edited by AUChase; 10-08-2013, 12:02 PM.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
How not to have your character deleted according to Rockstar:
From IGN
I may give it another go tonight with another character if I can keep him from being deleted.
Are there any other hoops I need to jump through before I hop online for my first time?Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I may have found a way to fix it.
I found this bit of information.
"To protect your local devices, the firewall normally drops inbound unsolicited traffic.
That traffic can instead be transferred to a LAN host with the option below. To switch between Static NAT and IP Pass-through, first select and save Dropped. Then select and save the new option."
I changed my settings from dropped to Static NAT and had to plug in my IP address for the network. I tried doing whatismyip, but I think it was just giving me the IP for my Chromebook.
Anyways.. I'll quit rambling. I hope this fixed all the issues with people connecting to missions I'm hosting.Comment

Used those ports and the link you have above to open them. Once you do, you can test your Xbox connection to make sure it's fully open.Comment
