I wonder if they tweaked the cpu bounties, seems like EVERY car I boost now the cpu will put a bounty on me, even posthumously.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Expectations were going to be HIGH regardless bro, just like the last one with it's lackluster MP.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Right. But we didn't create these expectations out of thin air. They were given to us my R*. I didn't even touch MP in GTA4 and, initially, it was a total afterthought in GTA5 for me. Then R* comes out touting this total game changing MP experience and it wasn't near what they promoted. It was fun, but fell well below expectations. That's all I'm saying.NFL - Vikings

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Fair enough.
I guess it depends on the person because even when I heard about the features it would have, I was still a bet skeptical because I wasn't expecting EVERYTHING to work flawlessly off the bat in a game of THIS magnitude and why I wasn't even mad when they waited 2 weeks before launching online.
Now being nearly 2 months after Online launched and some of the features still aren't available, yeah that's disappointing and there's no other way around that.
I do disagree about the MP promoting aspect, because even before the game released...they were still touting the SP heavy with the MP being an added feature(let's call it for what it is because they're not known for Online play compared to other big MP heavy games).#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Total conspiracy theory thought:
I keep thinking the Heists they were talking about pre-release are already in the game in the form of the bigger multiplayer missions (1-8 players). The execution of the heists were just not what was promised or what everyone thought it was going to be. Now R* is scrambling to make good on what was promised.
Even reading the Game Informer preview again, the heist they wrote about was the Titan Steal mission. Instead of pre-planning the mission they did the planning stages on the fly but it required the planning room to get it.Comment

This would make the most sense (and be the most disappointing) except that it then makes absolutely no sense that you are given a "heist room" with a place for a heist board if you wouldn't ever use it. Especially since there isn't just a default generic heist board displayed.
Then again with most of the logic in this game my logic would make WAY too much sense.
In all seriousness though I'm hearing rumors that heists are next on the agenda. Yes I know they are only rumors but hey a guy can dream right?

For some it may not have been as large of an aspect in the marketing but it was a largely touted feature.
Honestly it's the only thing that pushed me to buy the game. After GTA 4, I was hugely disapointed in the franchise (I know I'm in the minority that didn't like gta 4). After playing the previous games (especially the ones with Tommy Vercetti) GTA 4 just wasn't fun for me (that's when I started becoming more of a fan of the 'other' series).
So when GTA 5 was announced I was interested but not enough to spend $60 on it. After hearing about heists though it was definitely a game I wanted to check out, so at this point it was on my rental list but nothing more.
It wasn't until I began seeing the trailers for GTA: Online that they were running alongside their GTA 5 trailers. The more I heard about it the more excited I got. Then they showed the first preview of SP heists and it got me excited but I was still on the fence. It was only then that they began saying that heists would be playable in GTA: Online within the first month of GTA 5's release. That is what finally sold me enough that I went the next day and pre-ordered GTA 5.
So MP while not the main selling point of GTA 5 by any means, it was definitely a massive selling point to many to actually purchase the game (as I'm positive I'm not the only one that was sold by the promised features online).
Thankfully this GTA was a million times better than GTA 4 (again just my opinion, I know it's an unpopular one). I'm glad I got it and I was impressed with what they tried to do. I ultimately was disappointed because they just failed to deliver on what they promised. I rarely get my hopes up but r☆ made such a good sell on the multiplayer portion that I got caught up in the hype.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I'm still holding out hope for the heists. I've also heard rumors of a possible casino, and I know one already exists up in the northeast part of the city.Student of the game. #Fundamentals

Saw a video of the content creator, apparently hackers got access to it before its release. I am hoping this means it will be coming soon.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Actually they have FINALLY made a comment about both of these albeit a very small comment.
Rockstar Games, Rockstar, Video Games, Games, Gaming, Grand Theft Auto, GTA, GTAV, GTA 5, GTA Online, GTA+, GTA Plus, Red Dead Redemption, RDR, Red Dead Online, PS5, PlayStation, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox, PC Games, Computer Games, Home Entertainment, Home Gaming, New Video Games, Videogames, LA Noire, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3, Max Payne, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City, Los Santos, Vinewood
This article talks about releasing the content creator and the capture the flag modes. However at the very bottom it states that in 2014 they will be releasing heists and single played dlc.
I'm happy that they finally acknowledge heists but too little too late for me and many others. I hadn't touched this game since the Beach Bum Pack release and I doubt more than 50% of the community that made up GTA: Online is now gone or will be gone by the time they release either of these.
Maybe some of the single player dlc will bring a small percentage of those people back but I think the taste of failure rings too loudly to most of the fan base by now.
Companies, please learn from Rockstar....making grand promises that are larger than life and then when you fail to deliver not only keeping your fan base out of the loop but then ignore every question that is remotely related, is terrible, terrible business model. This is why we are seeing nerf after nerf of payouts because it's the only way they will make anymore money on it. Especially when it comes to the newcomers that are coming to the party late (and chances are they won't be sticking around for long because of this).
All that rant aside when they release heists. Hopefully, and that's a very small hope, it will all be worth the wait.... that is if you can convince your friends to give it a shot as well.
