No, Kotaku gives a good synopsis of the events from prior games.

        Donkey Kong Country Trilogy
        Metal Gear Solid
        Shenmue
        Kingdom Hearts
        GTA V

The music in the Donkey Kong Country games was so good and ahead of its time.

Im sure it helps but i dont think it's completely necessary. I had never played a witcher game but really enjoyed 3.

There is a point early in the game where it gives you choices from 2 to set up your world in 3 so you might want to google or wiki those particular events.

            It's really that good eh?

            I'm looking for an easy-going non-sports game.
I was hoping to find something in the same vein as Mad Max, but I'm interested in The Witcher 3.
            Is the combat fun?

I'm not sure I would call The Witcher 3 easy-going.

Mad Max is fun and I enjoy the world, but it is a little bit light/shallow.

That's kind of what I'm looking for. I just don't have the time to invest more than 20-25 hours in a game.

Mad Max would fill that nicely. You might even look into Just Cause which is some of the most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

I loved Mad Max! One of the best games I've played in a long time.
It reminded me of Sleeping Dogs in it's simplistic depth (if that makes sense).
                    Both were very fun games.

                    That's what I'm looking for.
                    I may try Mordor.

I loved Mass Effect for the 360. Too bad they haven't remastered it for the PS4 yet. I'd be all over that.

Its great, but you would need to sink a lot of time into it.

Ah, now I'm on the same page.

Shadows of Mordor was great and a lot of fun.

Have you played Infamous: Second Son?

Dragon Age Inquisition: I would put this up against any rpg game on either console. It's amazing and I am not that far in; only level 7.

                              Tomb Raider - 2013

I just beat ROTTR and while it was overall a much more polished game, I didn't have the "where did that come from?" feeling I had when playing Tomb Raider - 2013.

                              It was so completely cool.

                              Two others I loved:
MVP 05 - I lost two years to this game
Twisted Metal 2 - How many of us have beaten the game with Grasshopper? I know I have.
