    Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End

Usually around the holidays, there's a game I complete. This year was no different as after 21 + change hours invested in it, I completed U4. The game had its good and bad moments, but for its scale, cinema, puzzles, gameplay, story-lines, voice-acting, and scenery, this game had it all.

Some of the action was incredible and unforgettable. The use of the whip offered so much more grander end results. The outside elements physics was incredibly detailed. From the water dunes to the splashing in the mud, the physics rendering was top-notch.

Sometimes I felt the climbing got to much. I understand keeping you honest in your movements within the game but at times, I felt the extensive climbing felt force.

Still, a brilliant way to end it. Although I can understand some of the complaints some have regarding Nate's farewell. I had no problem with it.

    U2 > U4 > U3 > U

New expansion announced a while back. Also, Naughty Dog announced the release date today (August 22). The expansion will cost $39.99:

Very excited for this. I for one have been meaning to get back and replay the main game and this will give me a good reason to.

I can't wait for this and really like the ideal of a spinoff with a game like uncharted. I was about to read the game informer with this on the cover so I am def excited for this even more. I am anxious to see how the 40$ price point holds up. Is it like that because no MP or length or what?

Any ideal on how many hours?

You start out by only having three of the maps unlocked and once you get past a set amount of waves (it works sequentially) you clear the map. There's no set amount of tries you get to clear if all of your teammates are down.. it just effects the time taken and overall score. There are survival crates on the map that you can purchase weapons, mystics, etc. from and even revive teammates if you have the cash. Otherwise you can pick up dropped weapons and ammo on the map.

So once you get past like 5ish rounds you are good for the first map and when you play the second map you start where you left off in terms of difficulty and each map so far has some sort of different last round. So if I was to go load up the second map I would start at Round 6 (I think).

There are also some rounds where only specific types of kills count. I saw a round where only melee and pistol kills count against the required KO's. Then there was a round where in order to complete it you have to run around the map and collect all of the $$ on the map. There are also the boss fights which are pretty cool and challenging. I'm pretty sure if you up the difficulty and everyone dies you have to start over.

I'm not good at explaining things, but I will say it's a lot of fun. You can adjust the difficulty, play with randoms, etc...

I usually hate horde/survival modes in games, but I'm pleasently surprised with this one. It may just be that I find the core gameplay in Uncharted fun and it's nice to have an exuse to start playing again.
I usually don't like Horde modes either, but not having to go through 50+ rounds sounds promising. I'll have to reinstall this myself.

Just look on the PS store in the uncharted 4 game section. It tells you what the PS4 pro adds.

I played this game for about a day or two after release and haven't played since. Not sure why, but I couldn't get into it this year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I was the same way when it came out. Recently picked it up again and enjoying the playthrough. At chapter 15, so I think I am close to the end.

I'm sure at some point I'll pop it back into my PS4 and play through it. Its just one of many games in my backlog...lol

Me and a friend just started playing multiplayer again.

The new maps, tweaks, weapons, mystics, skills are all awesome. The multiplayer plays at a smooth 60fps and is so fluid it's incredible.

I guess either I was playing before with no leveling system back in the day or they erased my levels. Because I started at lvl 1 this past weekend. Up to lvl 11 and chugging along. Damn this game is so fun.

I hadn't played with all these updates, it's incredibly better now.
